ARRGHHH...GET OFF THE COUNTER

Smarty pants Nikita has learned there is a new option when it comes to finding cool stuff (ie food) to play with...the counter!! She props up those pretty little feet right on the kitchen counter and grabs anything in reach. Any suggestions for curing this? I got her to stop drinking out of the toil...

Sharpest pencil in the pencil box...

Just wanted to brag on how smart my girl is. She as fully learned 4 tricks sit, shake, speak, and lay down...which I know isn't that big of a feat. But the cool part is that she can do them with EITHER hand signals OR voice commands.. also when we drive into my apartment complex after a day on the t...

Blood Blisters?

Nikita has been getting these blood blisters type things around her nose and on her chin. There is never more than 2 or 3 at a time. They look like little pimple type things, but when you pop them, blood comes out. (Sorry to be yucky and graphic). Anyway, they go away in about 5 days. She just got a...

Beautiful dog you got there. Make sure when you take her out in public you tell everyone (if they ask) what kind of dog she is. Every single person can make a difference out there. If theres kids around, let them pet her!! Parents will be amazed!

Spaying concerns....

I know spaying is VERY important. My doggie is about to be 2 (on July 4th...everyone sing) and she's not spayed yet. I heard a horror story from a friend who's pup died on the operating table during a normal spaying. Then, I have my vet telling me that she will have a higher risk of cancer if I don'...

I'm in Dallas also! You can check out my baby on dogster, or look for my others posts. She's the sweetest thing in my life!

I kinda want another dog too, but she's such an attention whore, I don't know if I will do it!

Good luck and welcome to the forum, I'm sure you both will love it!

Wondering about the wrong kind of strangers...

Nikita is the sweetest dog ever to all people she meets. (With the exception of the dry cleaner man...he won't come to my car with my clothes if she's with me(ignorance at its finest) But what I am wondering is what would happen in a case where I was in danger. She will be 2 in July. I am a female l...

I asked my vet about this same topic. He told me that altough the prong collars look like torture, they are more humane than choke collars. The choke collar can actually crush the dogs wind pipe and be somewhat dangerous. Prongs just apply pressure around the neck. I put rubber tips on my prong coll...
