Re: Help! (Tag lines)

I've been wanting to get those for my pups, but have the same problem with not being able to come up with good lines! The only thing I know I want for sure is Mag's tag (if it'll even fit!!) "I'm a lover not a thinker" lol

They look great! Good color choices on your pups! I need to order new every day collars for my kids. I love the martingales.

Sign me up too! With all the snow and everything we've been having here and the daily walks, we'd be good testers! lol

Re: Why do you feed the food you do?

The dogs get Kirkland Signature because it's a fairly decent food and affordable. Though I would love to put them on something else. My cat gets Wellness Core canned, he has allergies and also has a hard time with dry food...he's done the best on the Core (as opposed to just Wellness grain-free form...

They were all watched closely, never saw them drink any saltwater. I guess it's always a possibility though.

Re: Temporary Blindness? A seizure?

Here's a link that better explains the disease and its manifestations... hypothyroidism is one of the most OVERdiagnosed diseases in canines, because its too easy to read the results without understanding the full manifestations of the disease. http://www.VeterinaryPartner.com/Content.plx?P=A&S...

Re: Temporary Blindness? A seizure?

I do not see a TSH level on the results. Her T4 is 0.6 - she was very stressed out at the visit, especially when they brought her in the back for the blood draw.

Re: Temporary Blindness? A seizure?

Ok the bloodwork they did (thankfully I got a copy of the results...) is "IDEXX Total HealthT Plus-Standard CB": Chem 27 T4 CBC Standard I'd be lying if I said I knew what I was looking at with these results. I just look to keep copies of everything, for my records. I'll keep her on the So...

Re: Temporary Blindness? A seizure?

I don't know anything about the holistic stuff, but regular thyroid medication is really inexpensive and effective. It's $18 for a months worth of Soloxin, which is what we're getting today. Cost isn't an issue here with the meds, but more what is better for her system. I'll always prefer holistic ...

Vet couldn't give me a true idea, since they don't have one at the office. But she did say it was 'thousands'. The closest place here that does them is NC State.

Re: Temporary Blindness? A seizure?

Thanks everyone. I'll check out those links in a bit. Vet just called with the bloodwork results. She has low thyroid levels, so she'll start meds for hypothyroidism tonight. Vet said the hypothyroid may or may not have caused the seizure. I do wish I could afford the MRI, and perhaps we can in the ...
