Re: Chewing

Sadie will also eat and destroy the garbage but only when we are gone. She is perfect over night however, I think its separation anxiety. We crate our dogs when we leave. Its safer for our home and safer for her. Imagine if your dog ate something serious and choked or suffocated before you got home?...

Re: Pet Insurance, VPI Ect.

I know this has been brought up several times, as I did a search. But I want to know the majority of members that currently have insurance for their pets and what provider they use. I have been really considering getting Sadie VPI and my husband isn't fond of the idea. Has it come in handy? Is it w...

Re: Firework Fear

Thanks for your help! She was a rescue and I swear between her water and loud noise fear, you'd assume someone had previously tortured her. We just left the TV up and kenneled them all inside for the 4th.

Firework Fear

Sadie has a severe firework/thunder fear... Should you love/praise the dog who is backing into you, hiding or should you ignore the behavior? I have seen people swear by both .... We've been giving her tiny pieces of hot dog every snap/crack, hoping it might help her associate more positively to the...

Re: Are laser pointers safe?

My parent's pit has a serious problem. Ever since my grandpa terrorized him with a laser, anytime he even sees a glare from jewelry, plastic or glass...he freaks and will run from room to room for hours trying to find it. Its funny, but sad at the same time. I think he has OCD now lol lol
