Re: Food Aggresion towards dogs- Is it ok?

Sadie, who was rescued btw, doesn't have any issues with her bowl. If I don't keep an eye out while she eats, my 5 lb chi will start sharing her bowl with her! Sometimes I wish she would be more protective about her food, but then again I guess its a good thing...I don't want an injured chi!! lol IM...

Re: Broken Nail

It looks Way BETTER today, the purple color has disappeared, but its still swollen. Look at her poor toe! So, now my concern is about the quick. Is it okay for it to be so exposed? Does it look okay? http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj28/cfree85/July2009027.jpg http://i268.photobucket.com/albums/j...

Re: Broken Nail

Khan's have never looked like that...but he has never had the whole nail done. He has had them cut through the quick when they are broken and it never has even looked irritated. Did they tape where the nail was? My vet cauterizes them. Hmm, they wrapped it and added some tape to the top, I didn't g...

Re: Hook Worms

WOW! That's icky! I know children are safe with my dogs, but it makes me nervous about them visiting households where they don't take this seriously.

Re: Broken Nail

After the vet visit, her toe is really swollen which I assume is normal from all the trauma it received :crybaby: Is it normal if they cut the quick back, for the toe to be swollen red/purplish color? She has seemed to have a loss of hair around the toe but I think it maybe have been from the tape a...

Re: Simone vomits regularly

I am actually a vegetarian, but I do not consider dogs to be a good candidate for the diet. They need it and if left up to their own device would find it.

Re: Broken Nail

Like I said this isn't our usual vet. We only have two in our entire county and I needed to get her in ASAP. This was also my first encounter with a broken nail.

Next time, I know what to expect and will send my husband along, its so hard on me emotionally, she is my baby lol

Re: Groomers

I am a groomer, and it is MUCH easier on the dogs if the owners aren't there watching. Most dogs tend to stress out more when their owners are around, they can't figure out why you're just standing there staring at them while the "water torture" is going on. lol Not to mention a wiggly do...

Groomers

If you have your dog(s) groomed what type of facility do you prefer? I took Sadie to one awhile back here in town and I thought the experience went well. Although, it was the kind you cant stay and watch, you have to leave....I didn't know until her appointment. Anyway, Sadie has a huge water fear t...
