I was using TW and stopped as well. I'm feeding Kato Natural Balance duck & potato and he loves it. http://www.naturalbalance.net/dogformulas/allergy.html I fed that to Nadiya for a while, as well. It didn't agree with her all that well. She is not allergic to anything, but it made her guard ha...

I know a lot of people here are liking Taste of the Wild. It's grain free and I think they have a fish formula. Not sure about the price difference though. Wow that is like... almost $30 Cheaper for their largest bag. I will have to try it for sure! And now I can keep both doggies on it if they do ...

Timberwolf Alternatives

We started feeding Sally their Ocean Blue forumula, and well the last time I bought TW, it was $15-20 CHEAPER than it was this last time around. $70 for a bag of dog food? No way. Even though it lasts a month, I cannot afford $70 every month with things going the way they are. Sally got chipped, spa...

Well it sounds like you are on the right path, keep it up! Your neighbor sounds like a moron.... ya, it sucks, but there's really nothing you can do about, so try to focus on what you can do, and that is helping your dog to be less reactive in the presence of others. Please keep us updated! Yeah, I...

Our dogs love to dig up grubs and eat them. It's gross when they swallow them whole... they gag as the bugs wiggle down their throat, and then they barf them up and eat them again. :yucky:

Okay, so here's what we have going on... We are working her on a 10ft leash with a clicker and treats. She gets a click and reward for looking at and coming when called. If the neighbor's dogs are out, I'll let her throw a big fit and hit the end of the leash and just ignore her. Since she loves foo...

I feel your pain... reactive dogs aren't always easy to deal with. My DA girl Stella was fence fighting with the neighbors poodle mixes (well, SHE was trying to fight, they were trying to play LOL). She obsessed about it everytime she went outside, and she loves to be outside, so here's what I did:...

Re: Fence Fighting! Oh JOY!

What kind of fence do you have? Is it chain link? Something that helps to start working on the problem is to block the visual by covering the fence somehow. The dog can still hear and smell the dogs behind it but one stimulus being removed (movement) is helpful. How big is your yard? Can you fence ...

Fence Fighting! Oh JOY!

So now that Sally has been here for a month we are now experiencing "issues", as I had expected. They are typical doggie issues but maybe if your dog has experienced them, you can help me out. She is fence fighting with the neighbor's dogs. I can't really call it fighting right now, its ju...

When I worked at the vet clinic, there were sooooo many people who used prong collars and choke chains incorrectly! We once had a rat terrier with a collar so oversized, that it slipped over his neck, under his front legs and onto his chest, constricting it! We had to sedate the poor dog to get if o...

Looks one-sided to me. I'm not an expert, but this is exactly what our pit bull does to our dachshunds. The pit bull has more leverage over a smaller/shorter dog, and the smaller dog feels trapped with the larger dog on top and tries to back out. The larger dog is too preoccupied with playing to not...

Very cool! I want a burgundy one. Looks like the one Colby sells is like the one Pinscher wore and it only comes in black.

Will have to check e-bay though.
