Re: Picking a vet?

I swear there is nothing like a great vet!!! And staff!!! Sometimes word of mouth is a really great resource. Sometimes not. I will shop around some when I move to a new place. I have no problem leaving if I don't like the clinic when I walk in. I DON'T like young, fresh out of school vets. My dogs ...

Re: Could use some ideas.

He looks like a well loved dog ;) Maven is my chubby one (she could get fat on air) She has lost 3 lbs and has more to go. She gets 1/4 cup of kibble for breakfast and some organ meat, a drumstick and a wing for dinner. I am thinking I am blaming her thyroid for her chubbiness. I will take her in fo...

Re: Are all bully sticks created equal?

I prefer to buy bully canes. They're expensive, but will keep the dogs busy for quite a while. I also like everlasting treat balls... Sigh, Dare I ask... if bully sticks are "pizzle" what are the "balls" to which you refer...? I need to try antlers. I dunno if I can deal with th...

Ari did this this am. I was messing with him while he ate. Other than today, I have never seen Maven or Ari do this before.

Adult dog food?

Ari is a year now and has been on the orijen large breed puppy since he came home with me. He is doing so well on it that I am sort of hesitant to switch him on to the adult Orijen. Is it absolutely necessary to switch to adult food and what are the drawbacks of not switching?

Re: Heat stroke...

Im not posting to rub salt in any wounds .
What I do think is important is pointing out the dangers of leaving your dog in your car like that, what happened is horrible but it was preventable.

But you are rubbing salt in Kiwi's wounds intended or not.
So start a seperate thread.

Re: Heat stroke...

Agree Sarah. Kale lived in my truck. His SA was brutal and he was happy in the truck.. so that is where he spent a lot of time! I was in Vancouver most of his life so you know it doesn't get "south" kind of hot. I always parked in a shady spot and made sure he had water and that I could ge...
