Re: Arlee's stomach

Has it been tested and proven that there is an allergy to all meat? Kale was "diagnosed" as allergic to all meat as well. He was on the Z/D for years. He was also on a vegitarian food. That didn't work either He wasn't. He was tested dust and pollen allergy. He was still a little reactive ...

Re: Arlee's stomach

Yikes
On hot days Maven gets damp where her fat/boobs fold. She gets heat rash looking. Not like that though!
Do you have pred and antihistamine as well??

Re: Ati has hives!

Resting. FINALLY! The vet is so much fun! I really enjoy her! So glad to have found her! Ari is a bit over exuberant at the clinic. Insanely desperate to see ALL humans and express his deepest and undying love for them. It is a little embarrassing. Beth hadn't seen him since his neuter, 6 ish months...

Re: Ati has hives!

We have an appointment this afternoon. I almost took him to the e vet last night/morning. He is wicked uncomfortable and during the night, his bady exploded with welts. I feel so bad for him. He can't get comfortable. The benadryl helps but very short lived. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/chri...

Re: Ati has hives!

They are 25 mg and he is bordering on 60lbs. NOTHING has changed. Not the food. The environment..nada... The benadryl has helped his face. The ones on his body are still big. and maybe more of them. I did put pictures on fb. I will try to upload here also. He IS acting normal. Just itching and bumpy

Ati has hives!

OR he has been stung by something many times.
The most noticable bimps are on his nose. Some on his body. They are BIG like M&M's. He is acting fine. Breathing clearly. I did give him a benadryl.. anything else I ought to do?

Re: hills prescription diet.

I fed Kale the Z/D for EVER. It was like pulling teeth to get him to eat it. He hated it. I then went to cooking for him. He did well and ate better. I switched him (in a last brave attempt at kibble) to Orijen and he blossomed. AND he tolerated it. BUT by then I was also convinced (contrary to spec...

Re: To neuter or not..

Maven was done before I owned her at 3 months. Ari I tried to do at 4 months but he was still very anemic so we had to wait. He was done at *I think* 5 months or so. I wanted him done early because he is a pet. I have a spayed female that loves to be humped which I hate and didn't really want to hav...

I am kinda glad her hips have never been looked at (I guess) as she now has insurance...
I am taking her in tomorrow. She sure drew the short stick in the ortho department.

Re: K9 Advantix or Frontline Plus?

I would have no problem alternating months with Frontline Plus and K9 Advantix, BUT, my vet doesn't carry K9 Advantix, and if I pay for one, I don't know that I want to alternate months. As puppies, we were intending on simply taking them to the vet once a month and picking up their anti-bug meds b...
