Re: Nobody is helping. (Pika? Or What?)

Sorry I was being so resistant before. I think I was too busy panicing to actually realize that most of you are probably right. I'm puppy proofing the house and we are re-training her as if she was still a pup. I recently bought another storage space-drawer thing I'll be throwing random things into....

Re: Nobody is helping. (Pika? Or What?)

It is in my opinion as well, which is why I'm steamed. Sorry everyone. I'm a bit flustered right now because Eris is weezing and is making weird noises and crying. The vet didn't do anything. I'm not sure what to do now. Should I wait or try to get her in to another vet asap? Has she ate or drank a...

Re: Innova, Proctor & Gamble & food lebeling in general (long)

P&G recently made a statement where they said they were going to allow the Natura brands to continue to use their ingredients for another "x" amount of months. It was something like "18" months if I remember correctly. However, P&G also tests on animals. I think that's m...

We also keep her on a leash and nothing is within her reach, she will jump on counter and tables apparently. Thats the only way she could get the things that she does.

Re: Nobody is helping. (Pika? Or What?)

Also, in response to Brindlelvr, we dont leave her alone unsupervised. She has a crate which we put her in whenever we are not home. However, there are rare situations when things like this happen. They have happened all of her life. It's not like she FREQUENTLY ingests things, but it's been on more...

Re: Nobody is helping. (Pika? Or What?)

Nevermind. It was my mistake posting this because everyone is going to assume the same thing. I train and work with Eris several times a day. We have been training for agility and canine good citizenship. She never shows signs of boredom unless she barks at me. The only way this could be a pro...

VET: "NO WORRIES. HAVE A GOOD DAY NOW BYEBYE!"
ME: "o____o"

Re: Innova, Proctor & Gamble & food lebeling in general (long)

However, P&G also tests on animals. I think that's my big issue. So does Natura... they have their very own custom built food laboratory complete with canine kennels. I would imagine this is a major part of the buy-out. Natura was on the road to becoming a major competitor, with goals to one da...

Re: Nobody is helping. (Pika? Or What?)

Dogs eating things is not normal. :( I've fostered many dogs and none of them have ingested FULL items this often. However, dogs CHEWING and being destructive is something that is common because the dog isn't being stimulated. This behavior can turn into pica if it isn't dealt with at a young age, w...

Nobody is helping. (Pika? Or What?)

So my dog, Eris, likes to eat things. Firstly, it is NOT destructive chewing. This can happen right after I've exercised and trained the dogs. She will go find something and actually INGEST it. She either throws it up or it shows up in her stool the next day. We NEVER have problems with her chewing ...

Re: Special Needs. (Hip Dysplasia and more)

You can ask about proin for his incontinence issues, if you're open to using medication. It was offered to us with our old guy and I know a lot of people have success with it. To me, personally, if the medication works it's the best option with incontinence. You have to watch for urine burns with d...
