Re: Weight loss at one year???

I haven't weight her, but she has not grown taller. I have noticed her jaw muscles have grown but not much else. As I said she has got back to what I consider a health looking weight, but here is a pic at her thinnest, about 2-3 weeks ago. She has gained maybe 5 pounds and her ribs are meatier now. ...

Weight loss at one year???

We have had our Kira for 1yr and she is now 1 yr old. She has been on TOTW High Praire since about 5 months old. She is a taller, slender pit, but her father is a monster sized short guy (she takes after her mom) We were feeding 3 cups a day and fasting her one day every two weeks or so. Anyway she ...

Re: Top 5 Foods

We are currently feeding Leo Taste of the Wild and he has been doing great on it for about 6 months. Coat looks great, great energy, poops are nice and firm, and he goes crazy for the venison flavor! We fed him Wellness Core food before and he did great on that too, but the price is about $15 cheap...

Re: Dog food for blue pit

I was reading up on this n the site ou suggested and found this "Most dogs do best with being switched cold turkey. Feed kibble one day, feed raw the next day. Kibble is an unnatural food for a carnivore. It takes your dog much longer to digest kibble than it will to digest raw. If you try to a...

Re: Dog food for blue pit

I dont want to high jack a thread here but figure its better than starting another. I also have a blue (or grey) puppy the same age so my question is related. I am changing over to Taste of the wild High prairie formula. I have read you should introduce a diet change (raw or other) slowly, how shoul...

Re: Introduction

Hello, very intereting story you tell there, Im sure there are great people on this site that could help you, but from what I've learned in the whole 18hrs since Ive submitted my first post is that these folks are pretty serious about keeping out the riff raff so you may not get a very large respons...

Re: Hello from northern Cali APBT lover/owner

Thank you for the welcomes! Im sorry my first post was so short, my wife was online doing school work so I had to use my Ipod to register here (tuff process by the way) I like the having to apply for a forum membership. I bet it keeps most of the immature and rude people away from here. A...

Hello from northern Cali APBT lover/owner

Hi my name is Jim. My wife Michelle and I love the breed and were a rescue for pits in the small town of Susanville where we grow up and met each other. We have saved four pits from the pound and placed we them in responsible homes. We would love to continue this but, since leaving Susanville we hav...
