Re: Product Reviews

I am a new convert to loving the Goughnuts Stick as a training reward. It has replaced all my gazillion linen and jute tugs and even a ball on a string as my goto reward. Not only is it pretty darn tough, it helps building a calm hard grip for dogs that do bitesports. The Malinois love them. The Gou...

Re: OFFICIAL e-collar debate thread

I'd like to add that some behaviors do not completely disappear with either positive training/behavior modification, nor with punishment. What is wise to do, regardless the issue, is management.People who electrically stimulate dogs to make them sleep close to the other get a good wake up call when...

Re: Flat sided pails

I felt gracious and decided to measure the pail for you Sindorei. It is of course somewhat of an oblong opening at the top due to the squishing effect of the flat side. It is 8 5/8" x 8" wide.

Re: Energy/Performance Supplements

Is that the new name for power chow? I have used that in the past, but not power boost. I didn't use power chow too much since vertex always seemed adequate. I still have some I think.

Re: "Dogs need by products"-Vet

Euthanized pets found in dog foods is a myth... there was a study over 10 years ago that DNA tested 20 of the most popular dog foods and found NO dog, cat or horse DNA in the foods. They did find other meats that weren't supposed to be there, like chicken in the beef food, but that was it. You are ...

GOUGHNUTS Cannoli

At first I hated this thing. $30 and it was sorta just a nearly useless toy that my dogs could either figure out in about 4 seconds or didn't even want to get the food out. I have been playing around with configurations and hit on a couple of good ones. I now LOVE this thing. If you feed a prepared ...

Re: Flat sided pails

I have 9 qt and 2 qt buckets. Both are fine for most any dog up to 100lbs to drink out of. I mean the 9qt is enough for a gorilla to drink out of but u know what I mean. Personally I would not get any more 9 qt buckets as the water tends to need to be changed when it is 2/3rds full. I use the water...

Re: Flat sided pails

Do you keep those 8 qt buckets filled with fresh clean water or are they empty or filled with green slime?

Re: My experience with antlers

Yeah, my dogs teeth are pretty worn and I've gone the extraction route for broken teeth from bitework in the past but have since changed my stance on extractions. I only choose extraction if the tooth is infected and painful. My vet checks every questionable tooth to see of it bothers the dogs and t...

Re: Service Dog Thread

Thanks for the offer. My main question right now is more of a logistical concern. Since the process can be quite lengthy from basic obedience through proofing of final behaviors I am loath to charge my hourly rate. It would be a ridiculous fee that I am not comfortable considering for this type of w...

Re: Leg leaning, forceful heeling

Surprise! I think this dog can read. Come on people! Did you really thing I was being literal when I said the dog is trying to kill me?! That's hilarious! Saying I don't seem like the kind of person to like dogs is like saying the President of the United states seems like the kind of person to not ...
