Re: Transitioning from an inside to outside dog

A chain 8 hours a day will not hurt her and once she is moved she will be in a pin, her and Koi both. no chains. I am slowly trying to make things better for both of the situations. Why do you always try to make me look like an ass? I do very good for my dogs, Just because they do not meet your sta...

Re: Transitioning from an inside to outside dog

If it were my dog, I would make/get her a really comfortable, secure and safe feeling (with her preferences in mind, like her favorite bedding and textures) dog house, so that she has somewhere to bed down when she feels insecure/tired. I would also up exercise ( a lot ) and routine, so that she is ...

Re: Toy recommendations?

For the easily destroyed toys, whenever I go to a thrift store or garage sale I buy a bunch of stuffed animal for like $.25 apiece. I've heard good things about Galileo bones.

Re: Leaving a dog alone for 12+ hours

I don't know how anybody can work 5 eights, especially during the day. It's the worst shift ever. I don't know how people get anything done. DItto to that... I'll take my 18 hour overnights with my extra day off over a 5 day straight work-week any day. My job is stressful enough that 4 days is a ro...

Re: Roommate thinks I shouldn't be segregating my pit

Put a lock on your door and tell your roomate-nicely-to mind his own business.
Entering a room unwelcomed is already a huge roomate taboo, but entering to take your dog without permission?? C'mon.

Re: Anyone knows what happened to petesdoggear.com?

I purchased a collar from her on short notice, asking it arrive within a few days. She had it overnighted out within two days. Just a rainbow nylon design, but still, she was awesome and quick with this particular product. This was in June of this year.

And he pees like a puppy/female so half the time if he's standing right by me I don't even know it's happened til it's almost over. *facepalm* Leashing to you is a good ...

Re: At my wits end!!

I havent been able to try that.. but dont think he is stressed in the crate. and he will go in the house as well whenever he wants. I have this problem with my current foster, and it is enough to drive a person crazy (seriously, I've had a few meltdowns). It earned him the nickname Pigpen. :po: It'...

Re: crating...have some problems

I use raw bones for long hours in a crate, or while training to crate. They last and they are crazy delicious to dogs. My dog doesn't even know I exist when he has one.

Re: Guarding or ....?

Papi was sniffing around and the guy asked he could stroke the dog ? (stroke the proper word?)

pet is more commonly used than stroke (for example, "can I pet your dog?")

Re: Well, it's not dysplasia...

I looked into Ataxia the moment I got home, but the symptoms don't seem to match up. I think a blood test may be in order regardless. Also doesn't seem to match up exactly with what wobblers looks like... But am wishing we had done a myelogram while he was under. Will speak to the vet re both possib...
