Re: Tucker doesn't like kibble ...

Was there any testing done for poisons? There are lots of outdoor products that can cause anemia if dogs get into them, would your neighborhood have been sprayed with anything both dogs might have walked through?

Re: Puking weekly, what do I need to test for? Help

I know that my girls ran into frequent puking when I worked late and they missed their feeding times or their schedules were thrown off from something else. Either I would get home to puddles of bile, or they would hoover their food and then puke it right back up. I'd try splitting up feedings a bit...

A few questions

is he puking before or after meals or at any specific time?

What is he puking up? water? food? yellowish bile? foam?

Does he have any other behaviors that might cause vomiting? licking floors or paws obsessively etc?

Re: Good Lord, anything else at this time?

I unfortunately have to renege on the item I was putting up for sale. I checked it out last night and it's completely tarnished. I'm pretty disappointed, I'd already decided I didn't like it for myself but I was hoping someone could enjoy it. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix it to a point ...

Re: crab grass

More cow dogs here too, I have to be super careful in the summer because Xena will eat anything she picks up off the ground, don't want to miss something just thinking it's grass.

Re: Joint Supplements?

We use human grade Glucosimine HCl /Condroitin(sp?) , were were specifically told to look for HCl and not Sulfate(which is easier to find) because dogs don't absorb the sulfate properly.

Re: Isabeau gagging/swallowing/snoring...?

my girls do the licking, gagging, weird stuff when they feel sick, usually it's because I haven't spaced their meals apart properly. could you try splitting her evening meal a little more and see if that helps?? As for snoring, I have two loud sleepers, can't help you there.

Re: Metacam...thoughts and experiences please (long...sorry)

So went to the vet and wow, I'm super impressed. He was very straight forward and has asked that we give up on the every 4 days regime and try just as needed, record when they get dosed and watch their activity and we'll figure out in 6 months when we do some blood tests to see if he thinks it shoul...

Re: Metacam...thoughts and experiences please (long...sorry)

MissKiwi if they hurt themselves when their being dosed daily though is it worth it? They did two weeks on daily and after the first two days or so were yelping getting up because they were overdoing it so much, even with the metacam at the daily dose for their weight. Also do they develop a toleran...

Metacam...thoughts and experiences please (long...sorry)

Currently both of the girls take metacam once every 4 days(or as needed)as well as daily glucosimine to help alleviate some of the symptoms of their hip displaysia. This regime was started while they were staying at a kennel/rescue and spending a majority of their time outside. I, the staff and owne...

Re: Dog-but-not-Cat Repellants

cutting a small(cat sized) hole in the top of the rubber maid lids makes it much harder for pups to get the kitty crunchies...kind of a cheap version of this https://www.clevercatinnovations.com/litter_products.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but the dog could still technically k...
