Re: Suddenly DA/HA ?

Sorry for the DP!

After reading everyone's responses, it makes sense. Halo has always been excitable. She loves people and wants to meet other dogs. I'm just hoping that I'm making the proper corrections and that with training, she won't grow up to be an antisocial dog.

Re: Suddenly DA/HA ?

Good topic. Halo (7 months) sounds like Veronica. Hmmmmph. I have the same question. Why does this happen? Today, I was disappointed and embarrassed with Halo's sudden DA/HA. She has played with many dogs this past week including a balanced but pushy 3-yr-old Old English Sheepdog, a Min Pin and a bl...

-#2 and #3.

When I take Halo around the block she's in heel position.
She wears an Easy Walk Harness and a flat collar. At the park or trips to the baseball diamond, I let her lead (most of the time). :doggie:

Wow, very interesting!

Totally off topic, but I like the giraffe, GSD and reindeer plush. :)

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

by Misskiwi67 » February 12th, 2010, 9:36 pm Your vet said the tooth needed extracted, then you get the procedure done, and the vet changes their mind?? Were they right the first time or the second time?? They were right the first time. Why they didn't extract the tooth makes no sense at all. I cou...

Re: Human food

My sister would give her dog the super buttery kind and the burned pieces.

Is that even healthy? Maybe I am wrong & THE only weirdo. lol

Re: Human food

 You're right Broken Aquarian. LOL!!!!

In terms of people food - I meant junk food. I refrain from giving (it's disgusting what my sister and relatives feed their dogs) like popcorn, beef & broccoli dinners, chips, Velveta cheese, bacon, etc.

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

Thank you Misskiwi, your input is always greatly appreciated. :) Do you think I'm doing right by my dog and getting a second opinion? I'm just trying to breathe and stay positive without being upset. What's done is done. I can only speculate - someone dropped the ball, and they don't want to own up ...

by Siberian » February 11th, 2010, 12:07 pm Emily, I am glad things are falling into place. x2 Emily! Glad to hear things are falling into place. Researched paid off and now you're more at ease. My dog is at the dentist as we speak, getting her root canal done :) Awh, ouchies! How is your doggie fe...

Re: Human food

Just like FBODGRL, I don't give my puppy any people food. Halo gets stuffed kongs with plain yogurt with cut up apples (sometimes bananas), cooked carrots and celery. All in moderation. She only gets peanut butter with administered meds. I wouldn't think bread is bad for dogs unless it's something l...

Re: Apple Cores

Wow, I had no idea there were bad things about apples, apple cores. I typically chop up apples, skin them and occasionally feed them to the pups. by Amie » February 7th, 2010, 2:10 pm I am not used to a dog that is SO focused on eating ALL the time. If she's not with me, she's trying to find food. A...

by Misskiwi67 » February 9th, 2010, 4:26 pm If you don't know how much experience they have, then just ask!! Excellent suggestion Misskiwi! I'm thankful that Halo's clinic specializes in oral surgery and tooth extraction. But it never hurts to ask, which I will do first thing in the morning. Emily,...

Re: CRAP. His tooth is cracked....what do I do?

by Emily » February 9th, 2010, 7:39 pm This just is not a good month for teeth! I know, right?! Sheesh. Poor Bruno, he has a cracked canine? I did some research myself, and I stumbled upon some information -- if only the enamel is 'chipped' and the dog is not in pain, no treatment is required.
