Re: Door Scratching - Is it too late????

Good idea with the plastic plate!! (Or something.) So funny that when the doggie first that does "i wanna go out" thing by scratching we're just proud as can be! And then......dum dum dum....the door is damaged to pieces! lol I like the idea of bell. Seems very civilized. Maybe I'll give t...

Door Scratching - Is it too late????

Roxie is a good girl and lets me know she needs to go out by scratching on the door. Which i guess is better then some other ways! But she is tearing my door! Paint all scratched off and now making grooves in the wood! My landlord is gonna murder me! Is it too late to teach her another way to say I ...

Re: Capone needs fixing, We Need HELP (long)

Sounds like a hernia -- not that you have to confirm that LOL. Well, actually... it was an anal abcess. As he now says to people, "I will tell you if you really want to know, because I have no shame." He says that he has shown everyone his business so he's ok to talk about it. (nice huh?)...

Re: Capone needs fixing, We Need HELP (long)

Sounds like a hernia -- not that you have to confirm that LOL. Anyway, it sounds like you are gentle soul and a patient "mom." Hang in there. Keep doing what you're doing. Sometimes, it just takes time. Roxie was such a scared baby at first, she didn't bark for about 9 months. Seriously. S...

Re: Capone needs fixing, We Need HELP (long)

I find it curious that capone and hubby didn't BOND more when hubby was home recovering for two months. How long ago was this? Recent? Or has it been awhile. I have found that "odd" dogs, or skittish, fearful dogs don't always bond well with men who aren't patient and gentle sometimes. Do...

Re: Capone needs fixing, We Need HELP (long)

My two cents. Roxie has some of those traits. Horrible fear of the car and loud noises. She paces sometimes. Just paces. And like you, she responds best to me when it comes to training and listening. After seeing the pic of you and hubby with the adorable Flower, I wonder if Capone is just plain old...

Re: Broken Toe?

I would take Capone to the vet, just to be on the safe side. And kudos to you for cutting the dogs nails yourself! I am not that brave!! Well, we'll be there in a couple of days to get Jasmine's stitches out anyway. He's such a freak about oww-ies that in this case I'm going to trust 'him' (it very...

Re: Not my dog but my kitty....

Well we are back and Marshall had to get an antibiotic shot (long acting) because he has bronchitis which is causing him to cough (which I had noticed but thought it was related to the puking)...and cough so hard that he pukes. I am so GRATEFUL that it was nothing serious. SOO nice to hear GOOD NEW...
