Re: ear cleaning??

PetSmart does not support puppy mills. We don't sell any puppies/dogs or cats. We have cats available for adoption through a local adoption agency and we have dog rescue groups come in on certain weekends. We also have a fund called PetSmart Charities where customers and employees donate money to ca...

Re: Keep breaking / ripping nails

How old is she? You don't want to be giving her Blue Wilderness too early.

Re: Freaking out

I don't mean to thread hijack, but is there such a thing as having a lump that is TOO small to aspirate? Maybelle has a lump on her ear that was diagnosed as a tumor. I didn't post a thread because I didn't want to make it real, I guess. The vet said it was too small to do anything, and just watch i...

Re: Belly Bands?

You voiced my two major concerns. Urine burns and whether or not he would tolerate it :( My co worker uses it for his Yorkie all day long. Since I'm unfamiliar with belly bands, I didn't know whether or not that was proper usage. I guess it's more to prevent urination rather then hold it? I know for...

Belly Bands?

Since Cody's kidney issues have been getting progressively worse, it's getting to a point where I can't keep up with the cleaning of his urine. I've heard about belly bands, in fact, the other trainer at my store uses them for his Yorkie. I'd imagine that it would be uncomfortable for a dog to be we...

Re: Sunscreen

I do it.

Maybelle is white and brindle. She has literally no hair on her under belly or behind her ears. I always rub sun screen on her (she acts like she RUNS on sun). She would lay out there for hours if I let her.

P.S - Spray sunscreen can really freak a dog out.

Re: Dawn dish soap?

For some reason what I heard was always BLUE Dawn dish soap. It was always specifically blue, and I've always recommended it because of that. I've only had to use it once on a kitten, but it didn't get all of them off. JoeBingo is correct in that it does strip the coat. Supposedly Dawn has a more &q...

Re: Thought of this question and was curious....

Maybelle's fed raw, and eats roughly a pound once a day. With school and work, sometimes I have to feed her canned Blue Wildnerness or Wellness Core, but it's still once a day. Usually her feeding occurs around 9-9:30 p.m. It's gotten a little earlier now that I'm on break, but it's still a little l...

Re: Bowsers sick :(

If this started a few days ago, he should've been at the vet already. I'd be worried if he's been off for that long, I wouldn't have waited. Hopefully someone else can chime in with something you can do, good luck!

Re: how often do you bath your dogs?

Cody hasn't had a bath in about 6 months. Maybelle gets one every month or so due to her allergies.

If I remember correctly, Satin balls are raw.
