Re: How does your dog feel about thunderstorms?

Maybelle is a wreck when it comes to thunder storms, she's the only one out of all of our dogs like that. She'll usually wake up from being asleep, get wide eyed, start breathing hard, then panting, then pacing and running around. Last thunderstorm I tried to stave off the fear by playing the "...

Re: Training Class At Petsmart?

II have not had one dog ever get injured. I had a class full of five very reactive dogs, and by the end of it, all were able to Loose Leash Walk in a line and sit. The fact that someone think it is a good idea to have 5 "very reactive" dogs into the small training area Petsmart uses, on t...

Re: Training Class At Petsmart?

I'm a PetSmart trainer, and currently I'm the best one in my entire district via ratings. I very rarely don't produce results. I actually encourage dogs that are reactive towards others or "aggressive" to at least try the class out. I have not had one dog ever get injured. I had a class fu...

My sister and the Blue Buffalo Rep at my store use it. I've heard really good things about it.

Re: Does this warrant a new vet?

Does she spend 30 minutes or more in the sun daily? Are you using a dog safe sun screen? If yes and no, it could be sun damage/sun spots. Several of my parents dogs get them, and they fade after a while. As long as the spots aren't raised or firm, like someone else said, there's not much to worry a...

Re: Does this warrant a new vet?

We did the bloodwork which came out fine, so I did go ahead with the dental.

The pigment changes and the lumps are not showing up on Cody. They're actually showing up on Maybelle which has be concerned. According to her adoption papers she should only be five?

Does this warrant a new vet?

I'm going to try to keep it nice and short. I've been to the vet at least once a week for the past five weeks. It all started with bringing Maybelle in to get a bump checked out on her ear, and I ended up bringing Cody along because he was due for his rabies vaccine (that's the only vaccine he gets ...

x2!

Cody just got a dental done and he was out of it for awhile. For the rest of the night and for the morning the next day. Now he's completely fine.

Try freezing it? Maybelle refused to touch her meat until I froze it, which consequently taught her how to chew.

Re: ear cleaning??

PetSmart does not support puppy mills. We don't sell any puppies/dogs or cats. We have cats available for adoption through a local adoption agency and we have dog rescue groups come in on certain weekends. We also have a fund called PetSmart Charities where customers and employees donate money to ca...

Re: March Trick of the Month: Army crawl

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBsHwC_Vk4k This is my attempt with teaching Maybelle Army Crawl. I used luring as my technique, because that's what I use during my training classes at PetSmart. What I quickly found out is that it's a lot easier to have OTHER dogs do it than my own dog lol . Maybell...
