Ears don't have to smell bad for them to be infected. In fact, I've had dogs with ear infections before and they have never smelled bad.

If she doesn't seem like she's in pain, I'd wait a while and see if it resolves on its own.

WOAH! $350 is way too much IMO! My vet charges $75 - $150 depending on weight. That included blood work and etc...

I would check around, or if you really want to go to that vet maybe you could find someplace cheaper and ask your vet if he will match that price.

some animal shelters don't even own scanners. :roll:

I would actually tattoo before I would microchip. Too much can go wrong with the microchip.

My only problem with micro-chipping is that there are different chips and different chip readers. Your dog could be found somewhere that can't read his chip and they may assume he doesn't have one. If there were a universal system, I would be more inclined to do it. I think the old fashion collar an...
