Re: Hello from Manila :)

Welcome!

Those are some really excellent questions! Thank you for being so responsible and doing such thorough research before running out to purchase a pup. I'm going to approve you so that you can post your questions to the general board.

Re: Bumps on body and sores in toes

Not much we can do from our computer chairs, you'll need to see your vet. Skin issues are, unfortunately, often chronic and recurring. Bumps between toes could be interdigital cysts, but your vet will be able to diagnose it and get your pup on a proper course of treatment. Good supportive care for s...

Re: Knee Surgery - Yes or no?

The Xrays look very suspicious for a CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) tear to me. Is that what the vet was talking about? CCL tear is actually something you can be pretty sure about based on a physical exam, and is something that does much better with surgery unless we're talking about a really smal...

Re: Wazzup Forum?

You can wait until the second set if you're in a high risk area. Petsmart is ok, but I bet there's better. Where do you live? Maybe someone can recommend a good trainer in your area.

Re: Wazzup Forum?

Don't wait until her shots are done before you consider classes. The benefit of socialization starts much earlier than that.

Re: Wazzup Forum?

Cuteeeeee! "Red nose" is a stupid term that people who know jack about pitbulls use to describe the breed. It doesn't mean anything. If she doesn't have papers, you can consider her a pitbull-type or a pitbull-mutt. A freaking adorable one at that! I never understand how an 8 week pup can'...

Re: Need help; feeding guideline?

Your vet should be able to tell you how many kcals he needs in a day which you can use to figure out how much of your chosen food to feed.

Do you have a rehab facility near you who would donate time on an underwater treadmill?

New Member, new Pit owner

Sorry, re-read. Good for you for looking into classes. :) Don't wait until she is done her vaccines. They don't get their last set until 4 months and you'll miss out on a very crucial socialization period.
