be careful with Rimadyl..Trixie was on it for 2 weeks and had bloody stools..it has a history of adverse reactions from what I have read

you can also give them buffered aspirin...I use Bufferin, it does not cause stomach upset

Dehydration causes bloating as well actually.... Poor Deno was taking in so much water though because his body was trying to ease whatever was upsetting his GI. petco sells Natual Balance which is what I feed my dog, they also sell Blue Bufflao at Petsmart and Nutro Natural at both which is a decent food.

candace it most likely moved out of the stomach into the intestine so make sure they check everything

I would concur, this is the same thing that happened to my moms dog and they were unable to see the obstruction at her regular vet so they sent her to a specialist and that is where they finally found the obstruction 5 days later!

Oh that sucks I am so sorry. My moms shar pei did this with a piece of a toy she had that broke off. $4000 later she was fine. I hope Deno is okay and it is not as costly, pooor baby
