Re: Exercising Dante

Thank you so much!! We do plan on getting him a wagon once we have a better idea of how big he'll be. The shelter said 50-70 pounds, but I'm going to guess closer to 40 but I could be wrong. A good walk for Dante, to me, is around the block - about 10 minutes (for him). We do an hour at the park on ...

Exercising Dante

Dante has really unique exercise needs. Dante also seems to hate the only forms of exercise that are safe for him while he's growing. Once the weather gets warmer we can take him swimming. I'm not comfortable allowing him to go in alone, with or without a life vest, so we need to wait til us wussy h...

Re: Hope - Fight dog recovering in WA

She is so sweet. She's missing the same front leg our Dante is - they'd make the cutest tripod BFF's! I'd take her in a heart beat if I could! But we're at our doggy limit - I hope she find a forever home soon. http://www.tripawds.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; has a rescue and a...

Re: Wearing Collar all the time??

We only collar the dogs for two reasons: We're leaving the house, or we have company coming and going in and out of the house. In the house and yard we have no collars on - they don't go outside unsupervised and I check all gates every time we go out. This might change as the pups get older - right ...

Re: 7 week old puppy...?

7 week old puppies can eat kibble - wet food is better though for hydration. He's not drinking much because wet food is high in water content and most animals won't drink much while on wet food. My guys were recently on boiled rice for a few days getting over an infection - and they had diarrhea and...

Oh what a sad picture, poor little guy.

Parvo is my worst fear with my little ones - they've been through enough.

Re: Procter & Gamble purchases Natura (EVO)

This is so frustrating for us. We've been up and down on all sorts of foods, and finally settled quite nicely on California Naturals Lamb and Rice - about a week before P & G bought out Natura. It looks like our only other options for limited ingredient diet is Natural Balance, which is a bit if...

Re: HELP READ - NEED ADVICE EMERGENCY

I am the proud owner of a tripod pup. He had his leg amputated at 8 weeks, due to an attack from an adult dog when he was 6 weeks old. If she does choose to amputate over surgery, there is a lot of information out there for her. There are many resources out there for amputee dogs, there is even an e...

Hello from Alberta!

Hi there. Hubby and I are from Alberta, Canada. We are in our mid and late twenties and we currently have three dogs. A 5 year female old beagle named Coda, and sibling Pit Bull x Lab 5 month old pups, Dante and Mina. We lost our Pit Bull x Boxer boy at 15 years old in February - soon after we came ...
