Re: heart worm shot?

I use Ivermectin, a friend of mine buys Ivermectin Sheep Drench and gives some to all her friends and friend's friends because she barely makes a dent in it with her own dogs. http://dogaware.com/health/ivomec.html#08sheepdrench" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="win...

Re: yet... another interesting question.

I let her play with it, then I ask her to drop it after a minute. Then I move it around around. When I notice her getting tired I get her hyped upso she will chase it. We just came in from playing and she played for 2.5 hrs with her best friend non stop. In fact she wanted to play more. I brought o...

Re: Hello from breeder!

Yeah, I'm mixed too. But you don't see my relatives being killed because there's too many of us.

I'm having a very hard time resisting making a joke about human breeding ethics though.

Okay. You're either new to the internet, or a definite troll.

Either way.

Re: Hello from breeder!

What are Esthetics? She meant aesthetics. As in looks. You shouldn't breed just for looks. You also shouldn't breed if you can't properly spell one of the breeds you're interested in. Thank you, I was rushing out the door as I typed it :) But its not just looks, my concker has a great personality a...

Re: Hello from breeder!

Pit Bulls are the most euthanized breed in shelters due to their overpopulation. But not only that, they've suffered temperamentally and physically from bad breeding (They have a worse rate of Hip Dysplasia with the OFA than German Shepherds.). There is no reason to do a breeding like that. Esthetic...

Re: Pulling Harness?

Well, it doesn't sound like a weight pulling harness is what you need. (A good thing, they're relatively expensive.) This might work well for what you want though :) http://www.alpineoutfitters.net/secure/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=17" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They have more...

Re: Pit service dog?

My service dog is a German Shepherd/Labrador cross. My Pit Bull is dog reactive, although she improved immensely, she still gets overwhelmed/over threshold at times that would affect her ability to focus on her work. :)

Re: Pit service dog?

Only a full fledged service dog has public access rights, however, you can go into the building (without the dog at first) and ask the people in the business if they'd be okay with you bringing him in to work on socializing and training to get ready for real SD work. Some places like Tractor Suppy d...

Re: Pit service dog?

If the dog's presence is what prevents the anxiety, it's not a service animal. Those are Emotional Support Animals and they do not have public access rights, they have housing rights but that's it. They have to be trained to do something, they have to have a task. Here's the ADA(Federal law) involvi...

Yours reminds me so much of Duke, it really gives me hope that all this patience and hard work WILL result in something positive :) It has been a year sin...

Re: Any Science/Legit Studies that back up Dominance Theory?

If I recall correctly, Stanley Coren PhD supported it for awhile but his opinions have changed recently.
