Re: Bumpy Back?

:goodpost: agreed! You should talk to your vet about how much benadryl if you are giving it orally and the spray can help too, but if they don't go away in a few days, you should get to the vet and stick with hypoallergenic shampoos for baths - I like the Earthbath line.

How many bumps? Are they all over her back or just where she got her injections?

Re: Sonny's watering, still...but even worse

A friend of mine's puppy does that when they would travel...the vet (also mine of 10+ years) said to give dramamine (SP? & not sure how much) 30 minutes before travel. That doesn't explain the all day thing though??

This was probably posted somewhere else and I'm sure it won't make you feel any better now, but this is something that may help you look back and smile later. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/heavy_petting/2011/09/the_perfect_day.single.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return fal...

Re: Bad digestive track possibly?

I got my ChloƩ to slow down initally by feeding her by hand a little at a time and making her do things for it (ie, sit, down, high five etc). I also started making her calm down and "focus" on me with her food bowl down in front of her, before she can eat, she has to sit nicely and focus ...

Re: No appetite... and hives forever!

Both of mine have allergies and I'm wondering why the vet didn't have you give him Benadryl...Thor was a mess for almost a year. Shots every 3 or so weeks, and then we finally found Natural Balance Venison and Sweet Potato (it is a limited ingredient diet) and Benadryl as needed and he is now fine a...

Re: Sneaky's latest ordeal

Sneaky is becoming one of my favorites! That video is hysterical...especially when she tried to get in the pool and he picked her up. Her little feet running in the air was too funny. You gotta love that wild streak!! My Thor has it too. roflmao Hope her toe gets better quick!

Re: FOOD QUESTION

I agree to stay with what is working. Thor has been on Natural Balance Venison and Sweet Potato for years with no problem...they even just added peas and he is fine. He was a complete wreck for almost a year prior to the switch to NB.

Re: Help My dog has allergies!

My Thor didn't have allergies until we started Science Diet (made by Hills). Now he is on Natural Balance Venison & Sweet Potato and only has problems with sneezing and itchy/runny eyes when it is windy - benadry works for that. I third fourth or fifth the skin scrape, just to be sure. Poor Baby...

Are his bowls stainless steel? My cat had the same type of problem until our vet told me to stop using plastic bowls.

Yeah, sick right! I had no idea until I got a sample of Purina One in the mail from Petsmart and was reading the ingredients. I had no idea what animal fat or animal digest was...until I googled it. It's pretty sad!

Re: Hello, might become a pitbull owner!

You should consider a meeting away from your house with both your dogs before you make any decisions - your current dogs may make the decision for you. I suggest you read, read, read, read, and ask questions here that way you will know what you are getting into. All in all, even if they are DA, Pit ...
