Re: Parvo recovery-what can i expect?

Is the breeder covering the cost of her treatment? Parvo can rack up a nice bill. Yeah no kidding I could have got 2 Champion pure bred Blue brindle, red nose, happy tail free, cancer proof, English speaking with red brindle accents dogs for what I paid in vet bills In Lucy's first month's. And she...

Your story is making me tear up. I hope the best for you and yours. Like I said Lucy was in for 3 day's, though I caught it probably as early as you can. And she is fine so have some hope. The fish oil thing is good as well plus it may make her shine eve more. I did put a tad of garlic powder on her food today which she than sca...

Re: Parvo recovery-what can i expect?

I am by far a nutritionist/vet etc. But from what I hear if she is gaining weight she should be fine. Basically if she is eating and not throwing up she should be fine. I just went through this myself about 4+ months ago. I brought Lucy home and a week or so later noticed the first sign (which I was...

Re: ChAnges in feeding habits

Thanks JoB. I really don't think it is a health issue, though I did at first think she might have been blocked up, that is not the case. I also did put in some moist food with it one day and she ate like she used to, she scarfed it down in no time. I have been leaving it out and she will eventually ...

Now she may just sniff it and maybe eat a little bit, she will than nib le here and there till most of of is gone. She is a little over 6 moths old if that ma...

Kibble change (Fromm?)

I can't help with the food choices much. But yes rescues will love you for donating food. I donated an almost full bag after Maya passed.

Good luck

Changinf food requirements.

As some of you know Lucy is still young (5 1/2 month's) I have only had her on Chicken soup for the puppy lovers soul so far. She does great with it, tons of energy solid poops (most of the time but very rarely runny), her coat is good and she freaks out when it food time, though that made be she is...

Re: Advise on Food Products for Puppy

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought TOTW was labeled as "all life stages"

What would you suggest Misskiwi? I am in the same boat here, I have been feeding Chicken soup for the puppy.......... But I am about out.

On another note if I may when do you stop feeding puppy food.

Meat VS. Grain allergies

I was suggesting that grain based food was not the best for our dogs. When a vet (not my vet) told me I was wrong that dogs are more susceptible to meat based allergies than they are to grain based allergies.

What do you think?

By the way I left the debate alone, not knowing if I was right.
