How much is TOO much walking for a pup????

I was watching a training vid the other day that suggested not taking new pups on long walks due to problems in joints etc. Now I'm not going to run Lucy (under 4 months) in a marathon but she needs excercise badly which the reason may become another thread entirely. But I have been taking her aroun...

Blood in the urine??????

Lucy has been peeing a little drop of blood in her urine. She did have parvo at an ealry age. Though she is only 3 1/2 months now I am very worried yet again. My wife brought this to my attention and I have noticed it in the last 2 pees she has had. She has been peeing outside a lot in fact she just...

Re: What do you feed your dog?

Prey model 80/10/10 no veggies at all. Only RMB, muscle meat and organ. I do use a probiotic (we are still kind of new to raw, so it helps when adding new stuff), fish oil/vitamin e and Osteo Bi flex(luxating patella) What is the fish oil for? Omega 3s? I am feeding Chicken Soup For The Puppy Lover...

Re: Do you feed measured amounts or let them gorge?

I think Lucy looks good. I will be watching her and giving her a little more. You can see here ribs and she has that good big rib area with the slim area by her hind legs. She may be just a little chubby in the belly. I am really not worried if she gets a little chubby since she will grow into it wi...

Re: Do you feed measured amounts or let them gorge?

I think I will stay with measured amounts. That is how I have always done it. I tried something with Lucy this morning and gave her 2 even cups of food. To see if she would stop halfway through, NOT she ate the whole thing and fast. I normally gave her and overflowing cup twice a day and 1/2 to 1/3 ...
