Once a day for the boys.. The cats aren't on raw anymore, because it had to be like 4 feedings a day or they threatened anarchy. The boys get fed when I get home - between 5-6 pm. They don't seem to mind, and their weight works well with that ... I'm not competent enough in the AM to feed them, plus...

Hey, thought I'd wait to update til wkend when I had pics..I'm such a procrastinator. The last time I said "Phew, now we're on bi-weekly chemo" I was wrong. There was just a week's break, and continued the weekly. Today, however, is the last weekly chemo, and from herein, it'll be bi-weekl...

Regarding the cost-effectiveness of feeding raw: I've been told it's only cost-effective if you have a separate freezer and can buy in bulk. I buy in semi bulk, and do not have a separate freezer (that said, my freezer has nothing but 'their' meat in it..lol) However, I will continue to vouch for r...

OT - Kudos on converting ferrets, btw. I've managed to do the switch with my girl from garbage Iams, to canned...but she could care less about raw still....

My brats always eat grass ...I think I saw threads on that topic here before... As for raw feeding, you'll find lots of discussions on raw + salmonella, etc. Basically though, common sense (though, I attest, it's definitely not as common as one would hope), and general cleanliness in storing, prepar...

I just wanted to report that my wiggle bum, as of Wednesday of this week, has been declared "definitely in remission".

We're also now on the every-two-weeks chemo, as opposed to the weekly cycle.

Phew! Gives me a slight break in trying to come up with the cash....

Yes dogs do have shellfish allergys, not all but some do! I was allways told not to feed shellfish to dogs cause there hair will fall out, I know if you give a shrimp to a rooster it forces them to loose feathers and causes them to molt, I had a dog eat some calamari and her feet swolled up, she st...

Not a good thought.. I dislike hearing of any mutated anythings...(though I guess that's typical).

Hope Kane gets better quickly!

Thanks for checking up on us :) So far so good. He's doing fine; no one believes he's got cancer, when they look at him. His next chemo is scheduled for tomorrow... I know I promised pics from the weekend, but the camera died 'n I haven't charged it yet. Promise to load 'em soon :) He's getting spoi...

I've had half a dozen clients who've had dogs with lymphoma, and not a single one has made the jump to chemo. People hear chemo and think of vomiting miserable people, but its just not like that for dogs. With lymphoma, chemotherapy is WORTH EVERY PENNY!! Don't let anyone tell you any different, an...

I flipping hate cancer. Still here anytime you need to scream or cry about the fight. You'll win it, of course, but it sucks so much along the way. Hang in there! How can we help? Thanks Amie :) So far my sanity's holding up, but that's because the treatment's going still. And he's doing marvelousl...
