I do not agree in any sort of play biting, this could escalate into something larger later on.

Grey, I have also used the tug on the tail trick. It does work!!!! It shows them you mean business. Also when I walk Capone, I use a short leash, that way he is right beside me at all times. Praise him thru out the whole walk. I also walk him in the middle of the road, that way he is not tempted to ...

how old is the puppy? We always took him outside when he woke up, just ate, drank, anything. We always gave him praise when he was outside. Yeah we had piddles in the house but we picked him up, no scolding (8-10 weeks) just took him outside. Then he realized to go to the door. Then we knew to take ...

We have had an issue with this as well. But we have tried a few things that will work. One..we make sure he is completly tired, that way he will not try to jump out of the tub. Then we tell him to get in the tub, without the water on. We praise him for being a good boy. Then we turn the shower head ...

He is scared...

Capone is afraid of the water. I think it started in the beginning of the summer, when we were at the river, the water was high and cold. He was excited running on the dock and fell of the dock into the water. Now this is his first time in the water. I freaked, which I shouldn't have, I think he was...

how to stop him from humping?

How do you stop this? He started a few months ago. My aunt's dog Jonezy humped him and now when they play that is all they do. Sometimes he evens does it when there isn't a dog around, like he is doing the air?!? He is constantly getting in trouble and we have to keep them seperated. How can I stop ...

thank you! I was worried for a few days, thinking he was really hurt. It looks as if it doesn't bother him. We were surprised that he allowed us to cut the nail. He is very good about us cutting nails, and cleaning his ears and such. Since his nail was broken I thought Capone would make a fuss.

broken nail

Capone broke his nail when he was in his crate. At first we were afraid to cut it, because the break was to far back. He began to lick his paws a lot, but he started to limp to take the pressure off his paw. We then cut his nail so he wouldn't limp anymore. Now the 'meat' is showing. It seems like h...

Hello everyone!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to be able to post on the website! My fiancee and I have a 1 1/2 year old brindle named Capone! He is truly a wonderful pup! You can check out some of his pics (search under VWpit). I will post a few new ones this weekend, if all goes well! 8)
