Here is an article about it and the article also has some pictures from the rally on Tuesday. http://www.capitalgazette.com/news/government/one-special-session-dow...

Re: New Puppy Biting Older Dog Too Hard During Play

Puppies are going to chew up other dogs, those teeth are sharp, since she was yelping and letting him know I would probably leave it be depending on how long you've had the pup or you could get him into a group class so he could interact with other dogs or maybe a friend has a dog that is appropria...

New Puppy Biting Older Dog Too Hard During Play

I recently adopted a new puppy. It is some type of pit bull or pit bull mix. The age is somewhere between 13-15 weeks. His name is Owen. Based on the estimated DOB of the first vet he saw after being taken to the shelter he is 13 weeks. My vet thinks he is at least 14 weeks, maybe 15 weeks. The stor...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

is anyone going to the protest tomorrow? I have to be in court, so it depends on what time I get out of there. But my girlfriend and some people from her office will be there. Also, Delegates Herb McMillan and Jon Cardin have bills to limit the CoA ruling in the works and are attempting to get them...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

The Supreme Court of the United cannot simply overrule a state's highest court simply because they disagree. There has to be some conflict with the constitution of the US or perhaps some federal law or regulation. There is no such conflict here and the supreme court would not hear it. Even if there...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Why so adversarial, snikles? I am not being any more adversarial than you are. I am just correcting you and trying to direct people's energies to the best place to do the most good. Legally, there are three ways this can be handled and yes, people should write their legislators but it's simple inac...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Some intrepid reporter -- if there is one out there -- should probably look to see whether Dogsbite helped pay for the legal fees for this case. And whether the Soleskys' lawyer was someone selected with Dogsbites' help. They did not help pay for the legal fees. This was a standard dog bite case fr...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

that's not true at all. there are three ways to challenge this ruling: writ of certiori (take it to the supreme court) legislative effort (maryland general assembly must pass bill) motion for reconsideration (lawyers can file a motion to request that the court reconsider the case) somebody is worki...

Re: I am disappointed in the Maryland Courts

Do you think contacting The Lexus Project to see if they have a pro bono lawyer in the Maryland area to help out? I know they themselves only work for individual dogs, but supposedly growing a list of lawyers all over the country. You don't need a lawyer now. You need a lobbyist. The court case is ...

Re: Ear Cropping.....your opinion?

I love my dogs natural ears. :) This. My dogs ears are my favorite part aesthetically. 95% of dogs with cropped ears look dumb in my opinion. And most of them only serve to make the dog look more alert and aggressive which does nothing to help the reputation. Thats not all true, I know you said &qu...
