Re: Victoria Australia Councils to crack down on pit bulls

Minister of agriculture and food security?I'm not familiar with Aussie law and government, but I do not see the connection with pet dogs. Aloof and dangerous? Out of all my dogs its my blue Heeler, an AUSTRALIAN breed that is aloof and is a little weird around some people. My pit bills love EVERYON...

Re: Allergens in the fall?

Uh, weird question. Are steroids known for giving STANKY gas? Being on a raw diet my girls do not have stinky butts. Within a few hours of taking her first pill I had to open a window! Im not completely sure, but I know that Buddy was oddly gassy for the time period that he was taking steroids. Rig...

Re: Allergens in the fall?

I called yesterday and my vet wasnt in. Buddy started to reverse sneeze a lot yesterday and is becomeing more red, so I knew I needed to get him some relief soon. So I asked them to just fill the prescription and I found out that he is using Hydroxyzine as of right now. Hes using two 50mg a day. Las...

Re: Allergens in the fall?

Buddy is sadly dealing with some pretty bad allergies to for the past few months. I thought he had an ear infection a while back, went to the vet to find out that it was an allergy and had no yeast/bacteria infection. He said it was food, so a change of diet to Blue Adult and some allergy meds(pret...

Re: Cesar Millan

Ive watched him a few times. I have to agree that his way of physically "correcting" the dog, seems wrong in so many ways.. And I cringe at the thought of people watching this on tv, thinking its all fine and dandy...

The perfect introduction with high energy dogs?

I feel like a mom dropping off her kid at his first day of daycare or kindergarden. I'll be moving soon into my home in about 4 weeks or so. I was just there today and met the neighbors dog and I thought she and Buddy would be great playmates to have fun in the backyard. I strongly believe he is not...

Re: Buddys Behavior Update & Question?

In regards to jumping, I personally would probably train him to go to bed or a mat or lay down etc when he hears the doorbell. You would be conditioning him to hear the bell, run and sit or lay down which would obviously not give him access to be jumping all over people. We dont get a lot of visito...

Buddys Behavior Update & Question?

Buddy is now a adolecent, and he sure acts it. He tries to get away with whatever he can and he has some social issues with manners. What I would like to update most on is his behavior around my 4 year old cousin that lives with me. A while ago, I posted about when he had bit him in the face. I beli...

Re: OFFICIAL e-collar debate thread

i get what your saying, i guess all scientist have spent parts of their lives trying to understand what it means to be the "top dog" with a group of dogs. scientists also say there is no god, and religion is fake. but well over half the world believe and are blessed by god, and their pray...

Re: Muzzle 101?

I also have a Jafco, which I am not crazy about the fit on, its maybe better for pointier faced dog. Also I cannot get treats through it. But its secure. The clear one is one of my favorite when working with aggression being present, due to the fact that I can see the facial tension in the dog, it ...
