Re: Raw Question

I feed pork necks. Khan doesn't have problems with them. I feed the type you are describing cut up from the grocery store. I wouldn't say the bones are spongey. They are pretty dense IMO. I know I have heard some people don't like to feed them because they are pretty boney. I usually feed the once e...

Re: Tucker doesn't like kibble ...

his teeth are all sorts of wonky ...they line up fine, but he has huge gaps in between some of them because it seems his lower jaw is longer than it needs to be. his chin bumps the bottom of his bowl when he eats, and i noticed that if i hand feed him (yes, i've been willing to hand feed to get him...

Re: Tucker doesn't like kibble ...

I have been using honest kitchen for my 1 cat who is having issues keeping real raw down. She goes completely nutso for it! My parents dog is the pickiest eater I have ever seen. They are feeding Holistic select and he is eating that well.

Re: Warning to Osteo Biflex users...

Or the kidney failure that would have followed if you didn't catch it soon enough... Vitamin D is a fat soluble vitamin, so the effects of it will be additive over time. I know! I just stocked up on it the other day and noticed one had the extra D, I was wondering if that's how your little scare ha...

Re: Pros/Cons for spaying 8 yr old?

I think the risk is minimal vs the obvious benefits.

I'd have pre anesthesia bloodwork done and probably find a vet who is comfortable doing the procedure.

Warning to Osteo Biflex users...

I know a lot of people here use the Oteo Bi Flex triple strength. Khan has been on it for years. I have a thread a ways down, but it was about raw feeding. I wanted to post up a quick warning fr those of you who did not read that thread. Apparently Osteo Bi Flex has now come out with a couple new ty...

Re: Allergens in the fall?

Personally I would see a holistic vet. They will try other options and use steroids as a last course of treatment.

Have they tried anything topical versus doing an oral steroid? Sorry if you said it I didn't go back to the very beginning.

Re: Raw feeders...suggestions...

I think partially because his system is so sensitive and partially because the dose was so high for an extended period. I talked with my vet today and fortunately I wasn't giving him a toxic dose. So eliminating it now should clear things up. I accidently bought a new Osteo Bi Flex that has 2000 iu ...

Re: Raw feeders...suggestions...

I did fast him for a day. Pumpkin gives him diarrhea. I have used slippery elm here and there, it helps, but then it just returns.

The meat he is eating he has had before.

Are they on the elbow area?

Looks like a callous to me. You could try some coconut oil.
