Re: Eating dirt.

I wouldnt worry about it too much, I was in lowes the other day and there was a pregnant lady eating dirt out of a bag with a spoon, I am not kidding at all. So apparently if pregerrs ladys can eat it, it wont hurt the dogs?

Re: Boss won't eat!

I do have one question, going by the BB guide he was supposed to eat 4 cups a day, the guide on PurinaONE says 2-1/2 cups at the most... Is that enough? It doesnt seem like it to me? Instead of relying on the rather unreliable feeding guidelines on the bag of any food, go by the food's caloric cont...

Re: Boss won't eat!

We dont have a Costco anywhere near here, never even seen one actually. And its hard for me to get to a pet store that sells high end foods. If he doesnt react to this food we will be keeping him on it. Thanks for telling me to take it slow with the food since he hasnt eaten. I do have one question,...

Re: Boss won't eat!

Okay, so just to *test* it I tried to feed Boss Man's rejected BB food to the other dogs (3 of them) 2 wouldnt touch it, and 1 took a few bites and left it alone. After reading up on PBF and a talk with the vet, we are trying to eliminate possible proteins from the list of things he could be allergi...

He just looks at the Blue Buffalo, he wont eat it anymore. He ate it for a couple of days but now nothing, he is drinking. What can I do to help his appetite?

Re: Spaying issues.

Okay, she is all healed up and back to normal... But we do have one "issue" she is humping the living daylights out of anything that will sit still for her. Boss Man looks at her like "WTH are you doing?" She is litterally jumping on his back and "riding" him. She also ...

Re: Body language question - crawling when excited

Oh wow... We got boss at 7 weeks old, I dont know much about where he came from but I dont think he was treated well, he had coccidia (very progressed), hook worms, round worms, and fleas. I dont know if he was abused, or why he would be afraid, but he is always extremely submissive around new dogs.

Re: Does and has anyone used Comfortis?

Star I couldnt get the link to work, I called the clinic and it is ProHeart (the name of the 6 month prevention injection). I will ask around and do some research before we decide to go that route. Our vet seemed to talk really highly about it, but then again I havent talked to our other vet about i...

Re: Body language question - crawling when excited

Boss Man does that when he meets new dogs, he crawls on his belly and when they come close he rolls over on his back and pees? I think that peeing means he is afraid? At home he crawls on his belly and barks orders at me!

Re: Does and has anyone used Comfortis?

I'm not sure, I'm thinking maybe he didnt take all of the pill? I like the Trifexis because it handles the fleas and HW, but when he is old enough we will be opting for the 6month hw shot.

Re: Does and has anyone used Comfortis?

Trifexis is what we use. Works for fleas and heartworms. Comfortis didnt work for us. This works great! And we are in South MS so same problems!
