Re: It is okay to dump your dog at a shelter....

I think they paid for a full registration so that they could breed him one day. I am not sure about a contract and I have no clue who the breeder is but I can try and find out.

Havnen't seen or heard from them since before she had the baby.

It is okay to dump your dog at a shelter....

When you have a baby... NOT One of Boss's all time favorite play mates was surrendered to a shelter, thank goodness it is the only no kill shelter around for miles... But still, a 9 month old Rhodesian rigeback will surely go nuts locked up in a kennel for days. There is a potential adopter who alre...

Re: Do his ears need to be taped?

How old is your pup? I'm just curious, I'm not a fan of most crop jobs, I'm just curious because around here NO vets will do a crop after the pup is 14 weeks old and some won't do it past 12 weeks. I'm not a fan of crop jobs I'm very picky and I dont know if our next will be cropped even though we i...

Re: ack! tick!

We don't freak out over ticks, or have the tick or dog tested for any disease. Even with repellent on the dogs, in the area we live in ticks are a common thing... We do vaccinate for lyme disease though.

Duh... Canned food and soaking his kibble with water...

Duh??? I guess I have been so blinded by the other issues that I didnt think about that?

I really should get more pics of Boss posted, he has grown into a stunningly beautiful dog (minus the deformed tail)

Re: Urinalysis Results

I have a friend who will be working UA at the local hospital this weekend, she told me to bring in a mid-stream sample and she would test it immediately. The search for a new vet is on.. My MLT friend said crystals in the urine can form within hours of getting the sample, so she wants to test a fres...

Re: Urinalysis Results

Yes he is only 6 months. And the test was not ran for well over 24 hours. Right now we will add cranberry extract to his food, and look for a second opinion. I like the food that he is on, he eats it very well and we have not had any allergic reactions from it. I had a friend call today after she sa...
