If he's not causing problems with the skin or nails then not sure why its a problem. I have a friend who has 2 dogs who bite both of their nails...he's never had to trim them since he's had them...they do it themselves. Its too cute...if you point one out and say "is that getting long?" she'll start...

I've heard of quite a few dogs being 'turned off' of canidae. Jada was. If you can get the canned canidae try some of that. Just add a LITTLE bit. Jada was getting 2C of dry, and 1 spoon of wet. There is also a great supplement called Nupro, that helps to increase appetite. Took a few days for Jada ...

What do you mean 'moaning'? Our lab/hound x tore both of his cruciates, and would CRY when he was in pain, but it was the hound rarrrrrr rarrrr thing. Jada will sometimes grunt which could sound like a moan when she wants attention...she will just lie on her bed, and grunt and look at me. Then get u...

Try a different food. When I first got Jada she was on Euk, and broke out quite a bit. Switched the food, and it stopped! It could be other things besides acne. Jada also used to get staph, which I thought was acne for a while until it got pretty bad, and we went to the vet. Treated with antibiotics...

Yes it is possible for dogs to outgrow skin problems. When they are a puppy, their body goes through lots of hormonal changes, affecting their immune system, which can allow problems to pop up that wouldn't normally. The little pink bumps sounds like it could be staph infection, but you would have t...

Veg. oil adds a HUGE amount of calories. For a healthier coat I give fish oil capsules. Just puncture it with a knife, or fork, squeeze over her food, and works great. If the coat gets dry in the winter, add a humidifier to the room they spend a lot of time in...makes a big difference. As far as bat...

Jada get this ALL the time. Usually I can find a little piece of dirt that has irritated the skin. As long as its not hot and sensitive I've found it goes away in a few days. Occassionally I'll put a little neosporin on it if its looking angry. If its hot, or sensitive, I would get it checked out...

I've always used the 16 week rule when trying to guess. Jada was 21lbs at 15 weeks....and is now 49lbs.

Jada was also 7lbs at 9 weeeks, 14lbs at 12 weeks, and ended up at 49.

Such an adorable baby!!!

Try using a different laundry detergant/dryer sheets. For Jada's stuff, and my sheets(she sleeps in my bed....) I use Tide Free...no colors or fragrances. Also, when she was younger she was pretty sensitive to everything, including the plastic in the bottom of her crate. Her tummy would get red and ...

Most people reccomend getting them cropped between 8 and 16 weeks. Because this is when the cartiledge begins to harden. I've seen puppies get them done at 5 or 6 weeks, and never stand. Most vets I've heard charge between 150 and 500. My vet charged $360, and this included pre-surgery bloodwork.
