I hate Frontline. I don't live in a particularly bad flea area, and it still did almost nothing to get rid of fleas. They would be gone for a week or so, and then they were back full force.

Advantage is AWESOME, I use it every 6 months or so.

Personally I use both. Vari kennels stay in the car, for the dogs to ride in. ONLY used for shows and car rides. At shows they both get a wire crate for the hotel room, even though J usually sleeps loose. At home, its ALWAYS wire crates....they're bigger, roomier, and I think the plastic ones keep t...

Lab/Pit X Needs Help ASAP

I have a lovable girl with a sad story who needs a foster or forever home! Here is her sad story.... About a year or so ago, Pat(my sister's friend) rescued the dog from a girl who could/would not feed or take care of her. He was living with his parents, who already have 3 dogs, knowing they would w...

I love the vets I go to, its a hospital with 4 different vets, so lots of consulting goes on since they all have their strengths. My 'regular' vet is great, never pushes me to spay Jada. He LOVES her, gets down on the floor with her, talks to me about possibilities, treatments, options. All of the v...

I'm in college, my first class is 8am, and my school is 45 minutes away. I have to get up between 6 and 6:30 every morning. I'm home all day, but I work til 9:30 at night, get home at 10, and have homework, meaning I don't usually get to bed until at least midnight. I have a 3 year old, and an 8 mon...

I used to use a product called derma-dream when Jada had problems with grass. I would just lay her on her back, rub it all over her tummy, and the rash/bumps would disappear! Luckily it was pesticides or chemicals they used on the grass where I lived. So no more of it!

My dogs do the exact same thing, Jada more than Lily. I just put up a running cable, which the pup likes more. They just have to suck it up when I put them out there for an hour or two.

Just wanted to say good luck! We used to give our lab who had this done 3 times, glucosamine w/ chondoitin(sp) for help with arthritis. I also had someone say that bone meal can help heal bones, but I would do some research into that one. Good luck!

I know for Jada, her anal glads only act up spring and fall when she is having allergies to what I'm guessing are higher pollen levels, those are also usually when she's in heat too. Hope you figure out what is wrong!!

Just out of curiosity is she in heat? I only ask because when my female is in heat she always has 'accidents'. So she gets stuck in her crate almost all the time to remind her she has to hold it!

I know a lot of people don't agree with his techniques, but after being shown a few of them by a friend who attended his seminar, I'm constantly using them. She showed me only the basics, exercise, reward, corrections. Jada is extremely cat aggressive, she would definitely kill one if she caught it,...

If I knew how to post pictures on here I would....but you can check out pictures of Jada at http://ktaylor6642.tripod.com/photographs.htm just a site that I had to make for school, so ignore most of it! She's been eating Canidae for almost 2 years. Before that she was on raw. Keeps her at a PERFECT ...

I swore I would NEVER get an IF with a pit bull, but I've changed my mind. I'm living at my parents for a while until I transfer to a different college. They don't want to put up a fence around the house, we have 6 acres, and most of it is fenced(3 board) for horses. The land is cleared, but surroun...

I haven't gotten one for Jada, only because they never have the right size, but when I showed my mom in the pet store one day, she was shocked. I put it around her arm and pulled, and she realized it didn't hurt!

Jada always gets more eye goop in the spring and fall when there is lots of pollen. Almost her way of having allergies. It never seems to bother her, but if it does I'll just give her benedryl.
