When I lived in my apartment Jada got about 10 little walks a day. Then maybe 3-5 days a week she got a long 1 hour walk, sometimes completely off leash in the country, sometimes partially off leash on some old walking trails that are never used. She is fine off leash, there are no other dogs around...

If you get any of those home improvement/gadget catalogues, they sell cover things that push the air away from the vent. Usually if the vent is under a chair or something!

Jada is 'potty trained'. She 'tinkles' on command. And she also knows "hurry up, potty' for poop. Luckily when she was a pup it was winter...so she hated to stay outside for too long. Plus, as soon as she finished pottying she got a cookie. So now I'm able to walk her around outside and tel lher tin...

If it continues you may want to seriously consider the surgical debarking. I have a friend whose neighbors are terrible, and were constantly filing complaints against her for her dogs barking. The county was on her case so bad, they were trying to force her to move or get rid of her dogs. She did th...

If he's not causing problems with the skin or nails then not sure why its a problem. I have a friend who has 2 dogs who bite both of their nails...he's never had to trim them since he's had them...they do it themselves. Its too cute...if you point one out and say "is that getting long?" she'll start...

Trust me, around here we don't have a HUGE overpopulation(in my area) of dogs. But when my neighbor was bitten by a stray dog that could have been rabid, all of the neighbors called animal control several times, and nothing was EVER done. They never came out to take a statement from her, or came out...

I've heard of quite a few dogs being 'turned off' of canidae. Jada was. If you can get the canned canidae try some of that. Just add a LITTLE bit. Jada was getting 2C of dry, and 1 spoon of wet. There is also a great supplement called Nupro, that helps to increase appetite. Took a few days for Jada ...

What do you mean 'moaning'? Our lab/hound x tore both of his cruciates, and would CRY when he was in pain, but it was the hound rarrrrrr rarrrr thing. Jada will sometimes grunt which could sound like a moan when she wants attention...she will just lie on her bed, and grunt and look at me. Then get u...

If we have no responsible breeders out there....people looking for a dog from a responsible breeder will have no one to turn to, and will have to go to a BYB. i'm confused, then. won't mandatory s/n prevent BYBs from staying in business?? If BYB were to actually follow or even KNOW about the law, t...

There are several things that are wrong with the bill, but you have to understand who is pushing the bill. The people who fully support PETA, and would create a mandatory s/n law for every animal in the state if they could. Its bad for people who show, and RESPONSIBLE breeders. I personally know, an...

Try a different food. When I first got Jada she was on Euk, and broke out quite a bit. Switched the food, and it stopped! It could be other things besides acne. Jada also used to get staph, which I thought was acne for a while until it got pretty bad, and we went to the vet. Treated with antibiotics...
