How much does he weigh? Is 4 cups too much? We give Jaydee about 2 cups a day, then again she is overweight.

It could be a phase... Do you add things to the food (if it's kibble) to make it more tasty. I recently bought Salmon oil and add it to the dog's food. Jaydee started turning her nose up at the kibble because my husband started giving her table scraps. So we stopped, now she holds out until she real...

Jaygirl- what company is your pet insurance through. We have VPI out of California. http://www.petinsurance.com/ I get a 5% discount through my job and a 10 % multi pet discount. I got rid of it for my cats, because I can't afford it. After I got rid of it, Geisha cut her foot pad but luckily it wa...

I spent 2 grand a few years ago trying to save my cat that died anyway. I now have insurance for my dogs and it helps a little.

I would surely pay it again if something happened to my dogs. Even if I had to borrow or ask for the money.

As Kirstan said, my dog is in the public view as he walks on his leash. How does being offleash help breed PR? If I saw a pitbull offleash in my neighborhood, I'd be irritated, and I love pitbulls! I agree. There is a leash law in most towns and if I see a dog (especially a pit bull) off leash, I'm...

Where's all the people that say they can't ever find a pup for adoption so they bought from a BYB instead? It's just an excuse. They are probably not qualified enough to adopt from a shelter or rescue. So they take the easy way out. Alot of BYB's don't care about where the dogs end up. They just wa...

Welcome! She looks pure to me. My Jaydee was also labled as a pit mix. I think some shelters do that to make the dog more appealing. She could be Am Staff too. It's hard for me to tell the difference between the two.

Geez, I have been feeding my dogs the teenie greenies for a couple of months now (sometimes I cut 'em in half). No incedents yet, but I am still weary. They just love them so much.

Sadie doesn't like people dressed in dark clothes.. or with their hands in their pockets.. so I have to be SUPER aware if I see someone like that in the area. What does Sadie do if she sees someone dressed in dark clothes or with hands in their pockets? Have to thought about fencing in your yard. I...

My parents always gave the family dogs alpo or some cheap stuff. The lived to the ripe age of 10 i think. And my husband says when he grew up in Portugal, there was no such thing as dog food. The dogs ate the fish off the fishing boats or scraps of food. He claims they lived a long time. It's great ...

Looks like a wart to me. Most dogs I read get them on their mouth. Jaydee had a few on her head when she was younger (they were really ugly). The vet told me they go away by themselves and they did. Now Kura has some kind of wart/skin tag on her head near her ear.
