Also since he bit someone, he should be on a 10 day quarentine, updated rabies shot or not. There are rescues in CT that may help him, but foster parents are probably hard to find and alot of the city shelters are kill shelters. They hold the animal for 8 days, try to find a home for them, and if no...

Jim- Are you looking to give him away? I saw your other post on here where you were looking for a home for him. ARe you sure he is a pit bull because you said he was 100 lbs. You need to have him evaluated because he could bite someone else - maybe maybe not. At least get him neutered as I hear it c...

what a pain in the ass petedge is. The service charge ALONE would have bought me another car seatbelt for Ella! Man. Good thing I needed some food bowls for her, so I just went ahead and ordered those too, to make the service charge and shipping worth it. Luckily pet edge is like a 15 minute ride f...

Put your dog in the back seat or tie your dog's leash around the headrest. Have you tried Petedge? The outlet is in Woburn, MA. They have seatbelts for under 10 bucks. http://www.petedge.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=4948&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=0&iSubCat=0&iSubSubCat=...

Well there is the Bad Rap convention in October held in Oakland I beleive. I have a DA pitbull also. She is fine with my other dogs and two cats. But she is a little bossy to the male though. I have been working with her for some time now. It's taking some time with her because I have two other dogs...

And if Pit Bulls were as bad as the media portrayed them to be, why would we own them and why would there be so many pit bull lovers and pit bull rescues as there are?

So your sister and brother in law with accept a Chow mix, but not a pit bull. That doesn't make much sense.

I don't think it's right to buy a dog that is illegal to breed, illegal to own and take the chance that it may be confiscated from me. If you love pit bulls so much, why not get a SBT. I know they are a little smaller, but at least they are legal and you can have peace of mind. To me, they are just ...

I was told by an animal dentist to brush my dog's teeth every day. I said that's impossible because I have 3 dogs. So I brush them maybe 2 or 3 times a week. They love to like the toothpaste off, so I have to fill the toothbrush up twice. I used a doggie toothbrush an dog toothpaste. I got the stuff...

Well certain breeds need to be separated or supervised from small animals. They may never kill your cat or fight with your dog, but responsible owners don't take your chance. Pit bulls have different levels of animal aggression ranging from "hot to cold" and most of them fall somewhere in ...

I never realised that the majority of pit buls were bad with cats and dogs for the most part, perhaps this is because the pit I remember the most was living with a beagle and a few cats... I wouldn't say they are bad with cats. We have one pit bull, two cats, and two mutts. You just can never leave...
