I use Frontline. It's expensive, but works pretty well. they sell it online as well. The tick season is really bad and we had to use it on my dogs, every 28 days because they would still get a tick or two when I used it every 30 or 31 days. We were even putting a teaspoon of vinegar in the dogs wate...

Jaydee get a bath maybe a couple of times a year because she doesn't like it. So instead I give her a "sponge bath" and spray some nice doggie perfume on her. She always smells great to me. You can wash your dog every week, but they always have skinky feet. It's where the dog sweats from s...

You should have had better control over the dog, and been alert to any possible aggression. If I am walking my dogs and another dog approaches, we move off the sidewalk. I don't even have DA dogs (that we know of) and I'd move off the path or whatever, to get the dog away from a potential problem. ...

I took Jaydee to a board certified animal dentist and I was told they should be brushed every day. All four of Jaydee's canine's are chipped on the tip, so I wanted them checked out by a specialist. Mia will get used to the brush after a while, it takes time. Make brushing time fun. It hard to brush...

I'll have to check it out sometime. It's probably about 1/2 hr ride for me. Yea two dogs can be alot, 3 would be even worse. but luckily I have someone who can help me. When I go out alone, I only take one dog at a time. If you got another dog for Mia, you would have to get a male. It would be a bet...

Where in CT are you? Maybe the local pound can give you a voucher for discount vet care and free neutering. Do you know if the dog is microchipped?

Also since he bit someone, he should be on a 10 day quarentine, updated rabies shot or not. There are rescues in CT that may help him, but foster parents are probably hard to find and alot of the city shelters are kill shelters. They hold the animal for 8 days, try to find a home for them, and if no...

Jim- Are you looking to give him away? I saw your other post on here where you were looking for a home for him. ARe you sure he is a pit bull because you said he was 100 lbs. You need to have him evaluated because he could bite someone else - maybe maybe not. At least get him neutered as I hear it c...

Here's the biking with your bully sticky. I don't think Red uses the springer though. Just a harness and musher belt.

what a pain in the ass petedge is. The service charge ALONE would have bought me another car seatbelt for Ella! Man. Good thing I needed some food bowls for her, so I just went ahead and ordered those too, to make the service charge and shipping worth it. Luckily pet edge is like a 15 minute ride f...

Or you could... Swim with your dog. Play fetch in the backyard. Play boomer ball in the backyard. Build a springpoll. Get involved in obedience or rally. Take up agility. Buy a treadmill. Give tracking a try. Train for weightpull. Take your dog tramping or kayaking. There are lots of interesting th...

Put your dog in the back seat or tie your dog's leash around the headrest. Have you tried Petedge? The outlet is in Woburn, MA. They have seatbelts for under 10 bucks. http://www.petedge.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=4948&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=0&iSubCat=0&iSubSubCat=...
