He will no doubt be oversized, but no one can say for sure. Buy a medium to large sized crate, but keep in mind crate training a small pup can be hard when you have a crate the size of a Great Dane.

Everyone has pretty much summed it up for me. But I'll add my two cents- If it is a dog I plan on keeping (& not just a failed foster), then I will take the time to work with the dog because the dog is in my hands, and I am responsible for it, not others. Example? Howie. When we adopted him, no ...

We lost an entire litter to the disease. But we've also had an entire litter survive it. With good vet care, a strong owner, and just a little bit of luck, a pup can pull through. Dehydration is a big killer, so if he comes home with you make sure he stays well hydrated. Good luck, sounds like he is...

:frown: I'm so sorry to hear about this. I'm sending good thoughts your way.

I lost my GSD to osteocarcoma when he was only 8. It's a nasty disease and I can only hope we find a good cure soon.

Well, there are some things you can do to get him interested. Keep in mind that some dogs just have no interest in the thing. I have two ideas that worked well for me, with different dogs: 1. Get a (strong) friend to hold him while you tease him with the rope. Get him really, really worked up. Bring...

Actually, I picked up toys similar to that at my local Wal Mart. They lasted a while too. But they weren't too stretchy, nor were they hard as rocks. I'll try and find a picture.

I would think that as long as the weather permits it, he's perfectly fine lying outside of the dog house.

Ori, dog aggression is part of the breed and will develop even if the dog is neutered. Lower-testosterone levels have little affect on our breed, in terms of reducing dog aggression. If his genetics programmed him to be hot-headed and dog aggressive, like so many members of the breed, he will be. Ho...

We never noticed a difference in Howie's temperament after he was neutered, but he was neutered rather late (Around 3 years). You won't notice a real difference in temperament. There might be a slight difference in his structure if he's neutered early, but nothing major. Keep in mind that owning an ...
