Tucker does it sometimes too. It looks like he gives himself a hicky. I put aloe vera gel on it and it takes the red out right away.

Is it raining outside or cold? Maybe it's just a phase he's going through. I don't have experience with puppies so hopefully someone with experience will answer. My AB has never liked going out for a walk in the rain and he won't leave the house with me if my hubby is home, even if he really wants t...

I would say maybe once a month maximum. Too much bathing could reduce your dogs natural oils on their skin and it will cause you other problems. Why do your dogs smell? Do they go out and get wet often? My dogs don't smell, but they wear coats out in the rain and I dry them off as soon as they come ...

She is so adorable! There are two types of mange, one can be transferred to humans I believe and it is harder to get rid of. I would just keep an eye on her and see if the antibiotics clear it up. Both of my bullies have very sensitive skin and will even get rashes from certain types of grasses.

I feed raw bones, usually knuckles and usually buffalo since they are harder than beef ones. The leg bones are softer and have more marrow which can cause softer poops so that is why I prefer knuckles. We're lucky up here in Vancouver as there are many stores that specialize in raw feeding so that i...

Plastic bowls can harbour bacteria so stainless steel are a better choice for sure. I would try to keep the area dry and put a little polysporin on it to see if it helps clear it up.

Personally your dogs just look like dogs to me. I don't see anything wrong with them, they look fit and not overweight. At least they don't look like a sausage or barrel on legs. I think if they weren't mixes you would see more muscle, and their coats look a little longer to me than a regular pit th...

I was thinking allergy as I was reading this. Usually a red muzzle is a sign of being allergic to something, either food related or environmental. Have you changed laundry soap recently? Cleaned the carpets recently? Used Febreeze on the furniture?

I know nothing about Milk Fish so can't comment on that, but I would say to switch right over and forget about the kibble. I'm not saying that upset stomachs will happen, but be prepared for maybe some vomit or diarrhea while their bodies switch over. I choose to feed once a day, but I believe puppi...

It looks so painful, at least if it was a human I'm sure it would be. She'll be just fine at the vet and get all fixed up. I'm sure you'll have to keep it wrapped up for a few days to protect it.

If it is getting bigger I would definately take her to the vet. Sometimes dogs get lick granulomas on their feet but they usually don't grow big.
