Update on Boogie
Hey... i posted a while back regarding a fund raiser I had going for my boy. When i took him to the vet...we had Xrays done...which showed signs of "bunching" in his intestines. The vet said it may or may not have been a blockage. The next step would have been a barium study, and if that w...

Re: Toy destruction
Boogie will demolish any toy he comes into contact with. :run: Including the baby's toys. I really have to keep an eye on him. He even chewed a hole in his Kong tumbler (and demolished a Kong stuffable rubbery ball...the one with the ridges for the treats lol). I dont even know how that happened LOL...

Re: HELP Boogie has a problem!
If his intestines are bunching, he could have some string in there. I've taken string out of dog and cat intestines a dozen times where the owners had never seen the string I gave them and never known their pet had eaten anything. No more Cerenia. It makes them feel better but it covers up the symp...

Boogie's Progress...
Hello everyone. I finally got a computer, so you can expect to see more of me. Boogie is doing pretty much the same. Some days he's great...and well others...He's a crazy, (adorable) FOOL. :) I've been trying to ignore some behaviors...use positive reinforcement, and treat everything like a lesson. ...

Wow. That sounds like a fabulous idea! Maybe you'd start a trend and more and more people would catch on to it.

He was hooked to a stake in runner so he got snapped back a bit. Were getting the hang of it. He was tired...

Re: When does training turn to abuse?
Red. Thanks! I've been doing my best to learn, and the suggestions were GREAT...I was just making a point about how searching for a trainer is so difficult! If there's one thing i learned from here is that not every "professional" knows what they're doing! Lol

Re: When does training turn to abuse?
I don't have much to add other than reading these is making me more and more afraid to hire a trainer for boog. What does more damage? Me waiting too long to professionally train? Or some yutz lighting off fireworks to reinforce his stay command. I think ill wait thank you. Ugh. Such an eye opener!

I don't have any fancy advice for you...just wanted you to know you're not alone... Boogie has eaten my couch (dug a whole and ripped the entire cushion apart several times)... he destroyed my carpet which resulted in us having to put new flooring in...he ate my Valentino glasses.... not to mention ...
