My 13 week pup wants to chew everything he's not supposed to. I just replace the item with one of his toys or bones. It works for a little while at least.

How long do pit pups chew and is it due to them trying to get rid of baby teeth?

I use Frontline about twice a year and have never had a flea problem. And I lived in Kentucky and now in SoCal, both heavily infested with fleas. Maybe switch your topical meds? I too recommend treating your carpets, also, I've heard that if you cut up a flea collar and put in your vaccum bag or co...

How much truth: Neutering before a year makes dogs taller?

I've seen people go back and forth on this. What is the truth? Does neutering before a year cause a lankier/taller pit?

Parvo advice

I have a 13 week pit pup who has had 3 out of his 5 shots. I live in San Joaquin County (CA) which has a lot of Parvo cases. I want to walk my pup (Baron) but wonder if its safe to do so. I'm leaning toward waiting until all his shots are done, but the poor guy needs his exercise too!! I own a downs...

Pig Ears - Good or bad?

I've heard from several folks that rawhide is bad but what about pig ears?

Baron my 11 week old pup gets them after he's been running around, eating, or even after he wakes up. I hope this is normal.

Pits and gas

Is gas common in pits? Maybe a dumb question but my 10 week pup can clear a room with his gas faster than a SWAT team.

I feed him Blue Buffalo dry food but don't know if this has something to do with it.

I've had other breeds in the past but I don't remember any being as potent. :)

Re: Just in case i never said it before.....

THANK YOU all that have helped educate me in many areas related to our breed of dog!. Before i started posting here, Bella was eating AvoDerm. It's a good food, but had it not been for the helpful advice i have gotten here, not only would i have no idea what some of the true "premium" foo...

Dog hiccups?

After eating I've noticed that my pup kind of hiccups, or sounds as if he's going to cough it up. I'm only feeding him the recommended amount of dry food. It goes away after about 3-5 minutes. Is this something that I should worry about?
