I have yet to take him for a short walk... which is usually when the shaking increased. If the Rimadyl stops his shaking... is this something I need ...

Re: Spondylosis (spinal osteoarthritis)

How old was your boxer when you found out she had it? Did it get worse as she got older?

Re: making kibble yummy

Ill add either raw eggs, plain yogurt, cottage cheese or some NV no grain canned food. One of my dogs is taking some pills at the moment.. so ive been using the canned food to hide the pills! They only eat twice a day... So i try to make it enjoyable for them... other than walks - meal time is proba...

Re: Urinary Incontinence... returns.

Re: Urinary Incontinence... returns.

It's a great idea to keep all these things in mind, so I appreciate everyone's feedback! So the doctor gave me another bottle of Proin, to see if it could be the same thing as in the past. If he continues to leak then he wants to start testing to see what infections it may be. Should I go ahead and ...

Re: Urinary Incontinence... returns.

My sister's neutered boxer had the same issue. They made all kinds of tests, kidney ultrasound, even x-rays of his spine, but everything was ok. He was leaking quite a bit so they put him on Propalin Syrup. After three bottles, my sister started giving him less and less of it untill he didn't need ...

Re: Urinary Incontinence... returns.

Have you ever done a work up to rule out other medical causes? If my dog was pu/pd, I would run some routine bloodwork. (even if this isn't a new issue). I would also have a urinalysis done to rule out an infection, +/- a urine culture to find out exactly what kind of bacteria you could be dealing ...
