Do you have a checkbook? Find a vet that takes checks, write out a bad check and deal with those consequences later. Your dog should not suffer because you don't have the financial backing to get adequate and necessary care. Do it NOW before the wound becomes infected and the bill becomes even more.

You can't be embarassed to ask questions about your dog's health though.

My dog is neutered and has the same thing. ;)

Just don't wrap it too tight. If you cut off the circulation you can cause some serious damage in a short amount of time. Most vets don't let owners wrap dogs paws for this reason. I wrapped it very loosely with some guaze, and then put a plastic baggie over it. I just needed something t...

If he's chewing, wrap it up. His mouth is wetter than any bandage... You might have to e-collar him too if he continues to be self destructive. He is starting to chew at his other toes too, so I will be wrapping up his paw today. I was just second guessing whether I should or not since the vet told...

So should I really not bandage his toenail? He hasn't stopped chewing at it, and there's like nothing left there! He has had two baths so far, and we are wiping his paws down with the apple cider vinegar. :frown:

All I did was buy some diapers. If your like me I had no idea how to choose them. Duct tape works good to hold them on when you choose the wrong size. :) Just be careful males come running for a female in heat. Homemade diapers ftw!! :peace: (no comments on the cheap dog food please  ) http:/...

Yeah she's acting normal just bleeding. I know we need to get her spayed the only thing we love her alot, her temperment, looks, attitude, and whole all of around character, and this might piss ppl off and thats not I'm what I'm trying to do at all, but when she gets older I'd like to get a few pup...

You can buy a diaper for her so she doesn't bleed all over. Please keep her away from any males, and do your best to keep her in the house to keep her safe from strays!

Have you thought about just taking him in to the vet or groomer to have them done?

We've always had problems clipping our dogs nails, so we take them in when we can afford it. Otherwise it takes two of us (one to distract, one to cut).

Or you can by pass the baths and try the ACV for a while. I am pretty sure it will work. I already bought the shampoo last night. I will remember the apple cider vinegar though. What causes a yeast infection? Is it possible for him to spread it to my other two? I checked and their nails ...

Many people feed their dogs nothing but raw meat. As others have said, the raw meat shouldn't be a concern, BUT the grapes SHOULD be a concern. Why take the chance when you don't have to?

Not to hijack, but how do you know it's yeast and not fungus? Because Butters has icky brown nails, and he's always fighting ringworm on his fur so I assumed it had gotten down into his nails. If it's yeast, will it just be at the base? Hijack all you want. Reading about other people's issues with ...

I picked up the shampoo. $15 for a bottle. The ingredients are miconazole nitrate 2% and chlorhexidine gluconate 2%.

I guess Jake will start getting twice a week baths now (boy will he really hate me! lol)

Thanks!
