Re: Dirty Petco?

There are so many pet store choices in a 15 mi radius but the petco store is the most dingy with the worst service. I usually get dog and cat stuff at a family owned store that is cluttered but they know where everything is and carry out the bags for you. they dont carry stuff for my cockatiels so s...

Re: Shelters: ALTER YOUR DOGS before adopting!

Jack came from a humane society with a voucher. It was a pain to get an appt at the clinic and it only covered $ 50. Before I did take him to be neutered I took him back to the humane society to their vet to redo his rabies because the staff kept looking for it and never found it. said they would ma...

Re: Re: I don't know what to tittle this but... :(

I don't get it. Why are you subjecting her to things she's afraid of unnecessarily? Why couldn't you measure her for the muzzle at the house, and go to the store by yourself? You said she's even afraid of her own leash and collar....can you imagine how freaked out she must have been walking through...

OMG glad he is OK!!!
And the vet asked YOU if you had a muzzle for him? I'm just shaking my head.
But anyway sounds like Zane is very lucky to have you.

Re: Can cutting the quick cause infection?

If I try to hold ellie to cut her nails she squirms like crazy. But if i tie her to a deck post with no slack and start with her back paws she stays still. Knowing she can't get away takes all the fight out of her. Maybe worth a try for you.

Re: Do you fight over the sheets?

Every night....
Somehow I always get shortchanged with the sheet..that might be a good idea though..although a separate bed for me and the dogs would be ideal...did I say that out loud? :fire:

Re: Good age for the invisible fence/shock collar?

I had one installed by dogwatch years ago. At the time I thought it was the greatest thing ever. I was lucky because nothing ever happened, dogs never challenged it, but I stopped using it and supervise the pups outside.

Re: Costs of raw feeding

Im new to raw and I do the more expensive method of buying cases of preformed patties that are mixed meat bone organs kelp etc. Its $3 a lb and for both dogs its 2 lbs a day total. But im saving on allergy medicine and they both look amazing and act like puppies so its worth it so far. Maybe someday...

This one will be difficult after all those years of saying "leave it" every time they picked up a sock or underwear but we're gonna try :)

Raw here and im lazy so I buy the frozen 8 oz patties. 4 a day so jack gets 2 1/2 and ellie gets 1 1/2 a day. In the morning I take them out of the and break one in half and toss them half each. Keeps them occupied for a while. At night they get the remainder which is now defrosted in their bowls wi...

Re: hello new 7 week

Hi Jesse
I know many people that have found their dogs that way. I brought my ellie home because she was in a terrible situation, chained and bred repeatedly.
