It really pays...

to read labels!!! I was taking out the dogs breakfast to unthaw, and found a bag of frozen cod in the freezer. I just happened to look at the ingredients on the back and saw that 'sodium tripolyphosphate' was used to 'retain moisture'. I was thinking what the heck is this? When I looked it up, sever...

We found that if we have friends over and serve chicken - she'll come right out. Chicken is the magic word with one of my cats! He can smell chicken no matter HOW its prepared, raw or cooked, he comes running! He is actually a rescued feral and was VERY shy. Once I started feeding him raw and cooke...

They particularly like melon, and I tend to fall into a "one for you, one for you, one for me" rhythm when eating melon cubes. I get trapped doing that ALL the time! Especially w/bananas. My dogs (and cats) eat pretty much everything I eat. They sit in their spaces on the rug or their beds and look...

If you are feeding a correct BARF diet, you should be incorporating fruit and veggies. I feed meat and veggies mixed 3 times a week. Many dogs (including mine) do great on little or no veggies. I feed veggies sporadically, and sometimes not at all. There are many different schools of thought on the...

You will find that they poop a lot less anyway eating raw. My dogs get killer gas from lamb and pork. At four months, it sounds fairly normal that there will be more pee.

AsianSensation, at this point I'm not sure that you're really serious about this thread, if anything at all on this forum. You asked your question about motor oil, and got several informative responses. At this point, it appears as if you are just being silly. Enough is enough. This forum is a place...

I've heard of that remedy, I wouldn't do it though. Motor oil is pretty toxic to dogs (and people).

Concrete - whereabouts do you order it from in Canada? If you go to the URBAN CARNIVORE website, they give you a list of retail distributors in different parts of Canada. I just order it right from the website though. I wish their was a retailer in the States, they are kind of slow about getting it...

I use Earth Origins or kelp (if I run out and am waiting on a shipment...coming from Canada takes a minute), and I have noticed a BIG difference in coat quality, stool, and fresh breath. I used to use seameal ( for about six months) and didn't notice a huge difference. The only supplements I use are...
