Re: Pancreatitis

How is he doing today? Hoping for some good news. If nothing else, a clinic that's skilled and comfortable enough to provide him with medical care.

Re: For the love of God Newton!

X2!!

Yeah, the peroxide has saved some vet bills here, I'm sure. (COME ON, who eats the soccer ball?)

How frustrating his detection and ingesting skills are! :(

Hope he-- and you-- are doing ok!

Re: Pancreatitis

Is there a medication that can be safely used on him? I know he's had bad reactions to some, could Valium help? Seems sensible-- would possibly be easier on him (and the staff) to safely medicate him for handling, vs struggling with him. I know you have desensitized him a ton but in an emergency sit...

Re: Pancreatitis

: ( I'm so sorry Val. It's so hard to not know and have all these things going on. Plus he's scared, strangers in a strange place when he doesn't feel good, oh ugh. I hope tomorrow brings better news and improvement. How are you holding up? I read all your posts and am so infuriated for you and upse...

Re: For the love of God Newton!

Uggghhhhh. I'm so sorry, I feel your pain. My friend has a dog who has had a billion health issues, including pica, and multiple blockage surgeries. She now wears a super customized black (she's black so it blends in) Jafco muzzle pretty much 24/7. One has cute purple leopard fake fur on it. It suck...

Re: Bad tooth, what do you think?

That's awesome and so reassuring! It's so nice to find a good practitioner you feel comfortable with, whether for you or for your dog. The price is great, too. The quotes from vets I trusted here for cleaning and extraction were almost double through triple that range. Sent from my MB860 using Tapat...

Re: Free Kittens wilson nc

I know everywhere is full, I work in the shelter system and it's unlikely you will find someone to take in the kittens BUT they may have resources for you. For example, I can't take in kittens, but if you called me I could give you contact info for super cheap or free shots and deworming, possibly f...

Re: Free Kittens wilson nc

Right, the problem is huge. That's why animals should be spayed or neutered BEFORE you give them away. Using euthanasia to manage feral cat populations is still very common though many communities are doing TNR. Did you call the shelter and ask them for resources? Every town I have ever encountered ...

Re: Free Kittens wilson nc

Do you have a local shelter? You should bring the kittens there for a chance at adoptions (they'll get fixed and shots) and see if they have free or low-cost resources to get the mom fixed. She can have another litter later this year, otherwise. Rehoming any un-fixed animal even with the best of int...

Re: Recall, Kirkland and Taste of the Wild

I feed TOTW and have it delivered from PetFlow and put it in a medium Vittles Vault without keeping the bag (yeah, I know you're supposed to, but there's no room for the big Vault)... um. No ill-effects for me or for Booker. I might switch back to Natura products, but since commercially processed me...

Re: Buddy Girl needs some good thoughts.

Yay! How is she feeling? How are YOU feeling? I just realized that she didn't have surgery the other day! I thought she had and you had all this on top of the knee repair. I saw "anesthesia" and assumed repair but it was for her to get x-rays? If this is the case well then my fingers are c...
