Tooth turning yellow after root canal

Is that normal? Her canine had a root canal less than a month ago, and now her tooth looks completely yellow. I am going to call her dentist tomorrow, but just wanted to ask here as well...

Re: Keila has WORMS

I JUST have dealt with that. Found maggot looking thing too. But vet told me, the floating test they do on the poop does not detect tape worms. I did the test anyway - it came out negative for anything. They gave her 1 pill and I have not seen the worms yet.

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

wow, where do you live??

Btw, shameless plug for my pet insurance - Trupanion.

Sheba's teeth ended up costing me $1876. Within a week after I sent in the claim, I got a check back for $1688. I think I want to marry them now...

Re: Pet Insurance

Fixedgearjerk, GO for it! Their coverage is great. They don't cover small stuff, like vet visit cost, annual shots, flea treatments, etc. All that is a drop in a bucket, and should be afforded by any pet owner. They do take care of 90% of your vet or specialist or emergency visit. I believe they won...

Re: Pet Insurance

Ok, ok, I am just beyond myself, so I have to share! I LOOOOVVVEEEEEEEE Trupanion. They are my new BFF. Sheba's recent disagreement with a crate has cost me $1876 in canine dentistry. Yesterday I received a check from Trupanion for $1688. I think I want to marry them now :)) It took less than 10 day...

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

The insurance I have is Trupanion. I did some research, and it really stands out above the rest. they have $20,000 allowance for any kind of medical emergencies for the life of your dog, and 90% coverage after deductible. I actually asked for 0 deductible, so it is $50 a month for my dog. But looks ...

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

Rambler, canine extraction is a pretty complicated surgery, and would cost not much less than the root canal (extraction: $900, root canal: $1400) I would like to save the tooth, she is still young and would like to use it :) Besides, if my insurance covers it, why not?

Re: Can raw diet cause dog drink excessively?

Hi all, so for the past month + Sheba has been completely off raw. I put her on a regular kibble diet. Not grain free, but did find some good stuff: http://www.doctorsfinest.com/Healthy_Chicken_dog_food_p/gldch33.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It also comes in grain free formula,...

Re: Tooth Fracture Headache (with pics)

This is something I am going through with my dog as well. She has snapped her canine in half, and pulp is showing. I also do not believe that they do not hurt. I can sense it in my dog, she is clearly not the same, although to someone else she would appear her normal self. I also heard from the vet ...

Re: Can raw diet cause dog drink excessively?

Thanks Sharon, I have been swallowing a lot of information lately. It is actually taking a toll on me, as I have noticed my own dog acts weird around me. I need to stop treating her like a gravely-ill being, but it is hard to snap out of that frame of mind. Today we went on a long walk through our &...
