And Misskiwi, when you say that lick granulomas "can get out of control fast," what do you mean? What happens to them if they're not treated correctly, in time?

I'm sorry your puppy is so sick! I assume the buy you bought her from doesns't offer to pay for vet bills for pre-existing conditions he didn't tell you about? He doesn't exactly sound like a scrupulous breeder.

Do you have a good vet, I hope?

Lump between toes?

Piney has a medium-sized, red, squishy lump between two of his toes. I think it's probably a lick granuloma, because he is always licking and biting his paws. Should I just treat it like one and see if it goes away in X number of days, or is this urgent enough to see the vet right away?

I just taught Piney to find my keys (within a limited area), pick them up and bring them to me. It is the cutest thing ever.
