Hazelnuts?

Are hazelnuts safe for a dog to eat? I just discovered that my incredibly picky eater LOVES them.

its turning into a nightmare. No need to be so dramatic. It seems like you're going back and forth on a lot of stuff. The other dogs are pit mixes, then they're lab mixes. You want to keep this puppy, you don't want to keep her. It's OK to have a pit bull, it's not OK. You are scared of pit bulls, ...

i don't need a bunch of vinegar lavage jumping all over my case

roflmao I actually think you totally need a bunch of vinegar lavage doing just that! Good luck with your dogs! I'm glad your friend knows what she's doing, though I have to say it's not at all obvious!

They may be physically ready to go home at five weeks, but they're not mentally ready. As others have already told you, they learn valuable behavioral lessons from their mother and their littermates between five and eight weeks. A puppy that goes home too early is far more likely to have problems wi...

I think you are making a mistake if you assume you can ever leave your dogs together, unsupervised, for any amount of time. There is totally a chance that all five dogs can get along WITH CAREFUL SUPERVISION. Watching for signs of trouble. Separating the dogs if things seem tense. Making sure their ...

How old are those dogs? Let me tell you a story that my old vet in Chicago told me. He's a huge lover of pit bulls and has a lot of pit bull patients. He told me about two patients who lived together for nine years and LOVED each other: a pit bull and an Irish setter. They grew up together, were tot...

Are you talking about breeding this girl?

Are you kidding?? Have you read Brutus's Mommy's other posts? Do you understand that she is offering to foster this puppy?

Are you going to start separating your other two dogs when you're not home? I would advise that you do, unless you want to come home to something horrible one day.

I hope you find a great home for that puppy. Contact PBRC when you get a chance.

The focus command is fairly easy to teach, even to a stubborn dog. Stand or sit in front of him and say "watch" or "focus" or "look at me" or whatever you're going to use as a cue. The SECOND he looks at you, give him a treat (if you're using a clicker, click and treat)...

I totally believe you are acting out of the goodness of your heart, but I just want to warn you that leaving your two pit bull mixes alone together unattended is a bad idea, too. How much pit do they have in them?

We should take our dogs to agility together. There's a place in Soho that teaches it. And there's a park in the Bronx w/ agility equipment for practicing.
