Fats have more calories per gram than protien. You could give goats milk, I found it at Wal-mart in the baking area along with the evaporated milk. ITs high in fat and was suggested to me by a nutrionist.

This might help and I do the same thing for myself and my dogs. So you can change two variables to achieve the weight loss 1) food volume (caloric intake) or 2) exercise volume (caloric expenditure). So since you started to monitor the food intake, I would keep exercising the same from week to week....

Pittiepride: I do the same thing with all of my veggie peels and left overs. My dogs don't mind them one bit. I freeze mine in ice trays and feed them here and there.
