Pickles - Sacramento

Pickles is available for adoption. She's a hoppy, happy Brindle girl with both a submissive and independent streak :) She loves treats, belly rubs, and as you can see here, breakfast! She gets along well with most dogs that aren't too pushy and she is even good with cats! Oh, and she likes kids, too...

Lucy - Rescue Gremlin on Euth List

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYBVsLMvMkM Lucy is one of the dogs in our CGC program at the Sacramento City Shelter. She came into the shelter sick and was labelled a wallflower after she passed her behavior eval. She then got to feeling better, put on lots of weight, and started to look wonderful...

Re: Ate leather slip lead

PROBABLY be okay. Tauri ate part of a black leather leash years and years ago. She did throw it up, and I had not even realized she had eaten the leash until she threw up black goo. Of course, *that* freaked me out BIG time until I figured it out.

Re: Natural Balance Dog Food Rolls as training treat?

What else makes great training treats - thin filets of steak. I buy them from the grocery store (cheapest cuts available, pretty reasonable) and bake the steak for a long time (almost burned). Let it dry out/cool, cut into bits and pieces and put in a baggie.

Re: Can pits get athlete's foot?

Probably allergies. Athlete's foot is essentially ringworm, so dogs don't generally get AF...they get ringworm.

Pickles - available in Sacramento

Pickles is an athletic gal that came to us from the Folsom shelter (I got cornered by the Folsom animal control officer at an adoption event last weekend, darnit! She just *had* to introduce me to this little girl that has been living in a 3 x 6 cage for the past six months. So, since I just found D...

Re: Daisy Mae - Sacramento!

What are her adoption requirements? Could she go out of State? I have someone in mind, but their app has not been processed so I cannot recommend her yet. yes, we do out of state adoptions on occasion. Carla Lou (Pinups for Pitbulls - before there was a Pinups for Pitbulls) was one of our "out...

He's a superfast learner! This morning we were working on some basic obedience. He's such a happy guy, very food motivated.

Joey - take two

Well, Joey is back again. His original adoptive home said he was too much dog for them. We had some serious conversations with them about the fact he was a high energy, high drive puppy who could do well in agility, flyball, dock diving, etc. (he LOVES the water), and that's what they wanted... but ...
